About Mr. Jim: Hi! I'm Jim Jacob, a South Carolina based creator. I started as a podcaster by accident. Our first real episodes on the internet were me trying to find a solution to help tell my sons stories as I was traveling for work.

Today's story is brought to you by Vinted. How much money do you think is just sitting in your closet right now? You know that stuff I'm talking about, parents. Clothes you bought wore a few times, and now it's just been hanging there, untouched, like for months. That's where Vinted comes in. Vinted is a secondhand marketplace app that makes it incredibly simple to turn those clothes into some extra cash.
Listing is quick and super easy. And one of my favorite parts is there's no seller fees. You actually get to keep everything you earn. The Vinted app is free to download, and right now is a great time to finally tackle that closet. So download the Vinted app for free and start listing today. With no seller fees, you keep every dollar you earn. Go see what's hiding in your closet. You might be surprised how much you can earn with Vinted. And now back to the show.

Hey friends, it's Mr. Jim and welcome back to Kids Animal Stories. Thank you so much for writing all these five star reviews. I love reading through them. This one comes from Brit Phelps. It says, thank you so much for the fun and engaging stories to fill our time in the car, bath time and pretty much anytime.
Mysteries are our favorite makes for a fun game as we learn new clues.
SPEAKER_3 (1:18)
I love that.
Jim Jacob (1:19)
I love mystery stories as well, and we have got to solve who is Oliver. So are you ready to hear part two of this adventure?
SPEAKER_3 (1:28)
Me too.
Jim Jacob (1:28)
Let's go.
On the last episode, we saw that Oliver, Myla, Libby and May had just been, I don't know, they just heard something very scary. Kind of sounded like burping, but I think this critter has teeth. We're about to find out what it is, but I hope they don't get eaten.
SPEAKER_3 (1:55)
What are we going to do?
Jim Jacob (1:57)
Shouted Libby and Myla.
SPEAKER_3 (2:01)
I've got an idea.
Jim Jacob (2:04)
Said May as she flew up high to get a better look. And it did not take long before May spotted what was making that very scary sound.
SPEAKER_3 (2:21)
I see it.
It's a crocodile. You best start getting on out of here.
Jim Jacob (2:33)
But May, we're kind of stuck in the mud here. Our paws are all covered in all this mud and we might need a distraction. Do you have any ideas? What?
SPEAKER_3 (2:43)
Yes, I do.
Jim Jacob (2:46)
May did her signature dive down to the crocodile. And it was a great attempt at distracting this crocodile because it worked.
SPEAKER_1 (2:57)
The crocodile turned and looked at May, that flying bird, and turned and said, Hey, you better come back here. I'm very hungry and this is my territory.
SPEAKER_3 (3:14)
Of course, whatever you want, just come on over here. I'll be waiting for you.
Jim Jacob (3:22)
Oliver knew that May was making a distraction so that they could get out of all this muck.
Come on, guys, move your paws and pretend like you're wrestling and pouncing, said Oliver.
Oliver knew that the longer they stood still, the more dangerous their situation would become. All right, hold on a second. We need to pause this adventure so we can solve our mystery because I just heard another clue that I think I haven't figured out. All right. Did you hear the paws? Yes. Paws like their feet. Not like I paused because I froze. No, paws on an animal like instead of hands or feet, they had paws. All right, let's go through all the clues.
SPEAKER_1 (4:08)
They got fur, they are brownish like grass, maybe dead grass, and they're good at pouncing. Hmm.
Jim Jacob (4:17)
All those clues could be many different critters, but I'm pretty sure I have figured out. Do you think they're a family of otters? Yeah. Wait, no?
You don't think they're otters?
But they have paws and otters have paws. They're brown, they're good at pouncing. Wait, what did you say?
SPEAKER_3 (4:39)
They, they roared?
Jim Jacob (4:41)
Oh yeah, they did roar. I don't think otters know how to roar.
SPEAKER_3 (4:47)
Hmm.
Jim Jacob (4:48)
What did you say? A lion? Let's go through all the clues. Lions have paws, they're brown. Oh, they can pounce and they can roar. Yes, Oliver, Libby and Myla are all baby lions. Do you know what a baby lion is called?
A cub. Yes, they are all cubs. And sounds like they accidentally snuck into a place where they shouldn't have been. It's very dangerous for lion cubs to be walking over by crocodiles. It's a good thing they had their friend May to scare off that crocodile. Wait a second, did it work? Did they get all their paws unstuck out of the mud? Let's get back into the story and find out.
