My "Notox" Protocol - How I Manifest Beauty Daily

The Hannah Summerhill Show

June 29, 2026

Before we even hit our teen years, women are bombarded with an outside-in approach to beauty. Whether it's Botox, peptides, products, lasers -- the list is endless. But what if you could sidestep all of the time, energy, and money that that method requires entirely?

Hi, everybody. Welcome back to The Hannah Summerhill Show. This is part two of a Beauty Magic series. So if you missed my first episode from last week about quantum nose jobs, I would definitely go back and listen to that. But let's dive back in to all about manifesting beauty magic, how to feel like your best, most radiant self, no matter what age you are, no matter what you look like. And the best part is all of this is free, you guys, right? All of this just leverages your own power, your own inner power, your own energy, your own magnetism, the power of your own subconscious mind to look and feel your absolute most best and your hottest self, because why the hell not? So last week, I talked about sham surgeries, quantum nose jobs, etc, etc. I went from an outie to an any belly button. And today I'm going to talk about the more like day to day practices that I do, because I really don't quantum surgery myself often. The only thing I really ever did was my nose. But every day, I have practices that I do that I feel like help me look even better than I did 10 years ago. And like I shared, I'm 39 I'm on a pregnancy journey. So I'm really invested in not just feeling my best for the sake of looking my best, but also using manifestation to help with my vitality, to help with my fertility, to help with my health and my energy.
Okay, so let's start with the B word, which is Botox. Now, I have zero judgment if you do Botox or you've ever done Botox. Personally, it's not for me.
And I have several reasons for that, which I will dive into. And if you want to try Notox, like some Botox alternatives, I'm going to be sharing that in this episode. Maybe you're a little Notox curious. Maybe you can kill your Botox bill after listening to this episode, or maybe you'll just continue with your Botox and use some of these other tips. Whatever you want, there is literally no judgment. This is just what has worked for me. I fully believe in bodily autonomy. So you do you always, whatever feels the best. But at 39, I have never gotten Botox. And I think there's a couple of reasons why.
Some of them are the fact that I just haven't felt like I've needed it because I have my other practices. But other reasons are a little bit more personal. So a couple years ago for Elle magazine, I wrote an article called Are We Entering Our No-Tox Era, and I got to talk with fascia experts. I got to talk with traditional Chinese medicine experts, acupuncturists, facialists, all about alternatives to Botox. And when I spoke with them, they also shared some of the downsides to Botox. Now, it's important to know that Botox is owned by a massive pharmaceutical company with a lot of money, allergen. So if there are any kind of downsides or any risks to Botox, there is a really huge company who doesn't want you to know what those are. Right? Botox has become so normalized, it's practically like brushing our teeth. And I don't know that that's necessarily a good thing. So one of the things that I learned while researching and writing this piece was that Botox, obviously, it freezes your muscles. That's one of its promises. It freezes your muscles so that you don't get any wrinkles. When I spoke to a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner, Sandra Lanshin Chu, who you might know, her Instagram is at Treatment by Lanshin. She's amazing. She does acupuncture. She does gua sha, and she's in her 50s, and she looks fucking incredible. And she talked about how Botox is the antithesis to TCM, because TCM is all about she or having your energy flow, having your life force flow. When you freeze a muscle, you freeze your chi. So your life force stops. It freezes. It's stagnant. We want energy to move, right? We want our life force to move. We don't want it to be frozen. I think inherently, we kind of know that that makes sense. But something else that I learned in reporting on this piece was that when women get Botox, even just a little bit, they have a harder time communicating with their babies because babies don't necessarily understand language. And so they're reading the micro movements of their mother's face. And if they can't read the micro movements of our faces, it can weaken that communication a little bit and even the connection. Now, I know that's a controversial thing to say. I'm not a doctor, but it actually makes a lot of sense to me.
