Hey, what's going on everybody? Welcome to the program. It is The Jeff Gerstmann Show. It is October 27th. Let me look. Yep, it sure is. And here we are, ready to talk about the world of video games. Still adjusting to this new desk situation here. It's the audio controls are over here. So if I need to bleep myself, it's a big, it's a big, take it over there and do that. And that's not great. That's not great at all. It's just a friggin mess. It's just a friggin mess over here. And it's because of this stupid speaker bar that I have. Actually, it's a good speaker bar. It's a sound, it's a sound blaster. It's funny that they, I don't think they, I don't know if they're still using it, but the idea that Creative Labs made a sound bar a number of years ago and called it a sound blaster is very funny to me. But it's like, you know, I have buttons on the audio thing that if I need to adjust audio levels and now I can't reach those, I moved the microphone to be a little bit closer and now that's got a big bend in the arm to keep it there. The headphones had to move to the other side of the desk and the routing on that changed. Meanwhile, you like stream deck style buttons for lights and stuff, but I don't need to hit during the show, all the way on the other end. So I'm out of here in this no man's land, I can't touch any of my buttons, and that's not good. I need to be able to touch these buttons. I could touch these buttons if they were where the speaker is under my monitors, but that's where the speaker is, and the speaker needs to be centered in front of you to work right. So do I need to go get a pair of fucking tiny shitty speakers and set them on the sides of the desk? Losing my mind. Losing my mind. That's probably how this is going to go. I'm going to go need to get a couple of little what Altec Lansing speakers and slap them on the sides of the desk, and then have the buttons need to be closer. I need closer buttons. This is a much bigger desk and that's great because I needed a bigger desk. But these buttons I can still reach. That's good. Yeah. So that's working out okay. But I wonder if I can mount this speaker. Maybe I can mount this speaker to one of the monitor arms because I still have a free monitor arm and I can float it in in the middle between the two. Now, that's a terrible idea. I don't know. There's a bunch of logistics that still need to work out. Half this light that is shining on me is actually being covered by one of these monitors. So even the situation in front of me is not great for that sort of thing. There's a lot that has to, there's a lot still left to do. But it is a nice desk. I can still raise it up and down and I don't really do that, but you can do it. If you wanted to stand up, I think I've run all the cables appropriately. That's the other thing is when you're like, oh, we've got a fancy desk with a cable management tray, you immediately realize like, oh, I need like cables that are two to three times as long as the cables I had because to route them neatly and out of sight and out of the way, they don't tell you when they're selling you the tray, like, oh, by the way, all your cables are too short now because now you need to run them cleanly through these little channels and grooves and like, who the fuck has the time for that? Not me, man. Let's take a break. We'll come back. We'll talk about video games. I'm losing my fricking mind. I'm losing my fricking mind.
