Coming up here on our two money still to come, we will give you our thoughts on Monday Night Football between the commanders in San Francisco 49ers. Lots of openers that are on the move in College Football. Chaos of this past weekend with so many of those top ten teams going down. Chaos across the board. We'll have Best Bets, of course, at the end of the day. And plenty of NBA today as well. JVT opening night coming up tomorrow. What are you making that face for? What are you looking at on social media right now?
Jonathan Von Tobel (0:45)
Look, we have been promised, not promised, we don't want to get political here, but I'm going to get political for two seconds.
Stormy Buonantony (0:52)
Okay, did I get politically someone mad at me?
Jonathan Von Tobel (0:54)
The Attorney General of Indiana has tweeted out that they should have never fired Ryan Grigson, the former General Manager of the Indianapolis Colts. Stick to attorneying, buddy. What are we talking about here? You have no idea what you're talking about. This is one of the worst tweets I've ever seen in my life. Get out of here.
Todd Rokita, Attorney General, gives the 44th Attorney General it should be, get out of here.
Stormy Buonantony (1:18)
You know how everybody talks to all these athletes and says stick to sports? It's like maybe you stick to like your leg as well. Yeah, stick to the attorneying.
Jonathan Von Tobel (1:26)
If you're as good an attorney as you are a sports fan, then you would be screwed if you were my guy.
Stormy Buonantony (1:32)
That is pretty funny.
But this is like a big thing. In college sports, it makes a little bit more sense because legislation plays a role in what a lot of these players are doing because they're like state institutions and everything. But that's just funny. They're so random. Why?
Jonathan Von Tobel (1:47)
I'm angry.
Stormy Buonantony (1:48)
For anyone who missed it, by the way, Colts general manager Chris Ballard fired earlier this morning from owner Carly Ersay Gordon.
I was thinking though, how we talked about him being with the team for a decade and trying to claw their way out of what's been a struggle, especially the fact that they didn't win the division once in the entire time that he was the general manager and every other team has won it at least twice. But I was thinking about from the time that Jim Ersay passed, for the daughters, he was probably just a stabilizing figure instead of just doing swooping changes and all of this stuff. He was probably one of those people. They're like, okay, you know him, our dad trusted you, we know you, and just let it roll until or unless something happens.
Jonathan Von Tobel (2:27)
I mean, that's fine for like a little bit. But like last year, he should have been gone.
All right. I was just saying, I was making the face. No, no, I think your logic is sound. What I'm saying is that he should have been, that makes sense like last year when there was one of the first, I think there was the first full year in which they were in control. This offseason should have been gone.
Stormy Buonantony (2:45)
Yeah. Of course, obviously, the biggest news of the day was the fact that Jalen Hurts quarterback for the Phil Dale Fia Eagles is done for the season.
Sorry, sometimes I just like say words weird when I'm thinking. Doesn't your mouth ever get ahead of your brain sometimes?
SPEAKER_1 (2:58)
No. Never.
Stormy Buonantony (2:59)
Who are you talking to? Dude, it happens to me as a silent reporter all the time and it kills me. I have 30 seconds to make my point and when I mess up, I'm so mad at myself because I'm just like, man, my mouth is just going too fast for my brain. Anyways, neither here nor there. With the Hertz issue, it was found out by doctors that he had blood clots that had traveled to his lungs. He's going to be done for the rest of the season, takes at least three months of treatment for him to be on these blood thinners and everything. If you want to hear our full reaction to that, make sure you download Money Moves and podcast for him and get it wherever you get your podcast. But we've talked a lot about the Eagles and the division and everything that they are going through as a team right now, that division just seems crazy. Yep.
