This is VSiN, the SportsBetting Network. This is Money Moves on VSiN, the SportsBetting Network.

All right, everybody, we are kicking off our two here. It's on VSiN, the SportsBetting Network, Series XM, Channel 189, Stormy Buonantony, Jonathan Von Tobel with you. What's so funny?
Jonathan Von Tobel (0:29)
I don't know why I check my watch. It doesn't work. But it looks damn good. It's off camera. That's all, I was just laughing at it.
Stormy Buonantony (0:33)
Why do you wear a watch if it doesn't work?
Jonathan Von Tobel (0:34)
Because it looks good.
Stormy Buonantony (0:36)
It's like a male bracelet.
Jonathan Von Tobel (0:37)
As many musical artists have said, got to roll it, but it don't tick tock because it looks nice. It looks very good.
Stormy Buonantony (0:43)
Okay.
Jonathan Von Tobel (0:43)
It's a whole point.
Stormy Buonantony (0:44)
Sure, do your thing. You cleaned off your mic. How's it feel?
Jonathan Von Tobel (0:47)
I mean, I cleaned off a portion of it. It looks absolutely fantastic. But I'm telling you, I showed you this up close. There might be something alive on this thing.
Stormy Buonantony (0:55)
Kelly Bidlin, by the way, from Numbers Game, did tweet in, said, I thought JVT liked it when I leave a meridied mic for him.
Jonathan Von Tobel (1:02)
I mean, maybe I'm overreacting. The Vegas Stats and Information Network hosts are all very healthy and robust and virile. So maybe there's nothing to be fearing at this point. There's no diseases going around at all.
Stormy Buonantony (1:12)
We did get another tweet as well, which if you ever do want to chime in on the show, you can tweet at us, at mejvt, at Storm Buonantony, at VSiN Live. But following up some of our college football conversation and the news this morning that it is looking more and more like we could, by the end of the night, have a decision on college football, the college football playoff, expanding to 24 teams by the end of the day. Patrick Kelly said, Good afternoon, do you go ahead and apply the possible football reasoning to NCAA basketball? Oh shoot, and of course it like went away.
Jonathan Von Tobel (1:40)
And say no more conference tournaments. I doubt it. And even though it's not about the kids or the fans, both of these groups love playing and watching B-ball, mid-major, small-major.
Stormy Buonantony (1:48)
Of course my feed refreshed. Why did I say that?
Jonathan Von Tobel (1:53)
Well, I think that the whole problem with this is, it's not eliminating conference, or you may see the conference title games in college football.
The only reason it would happen is because of a scheduling standpoint. Like for the NCAA tournament, everything's already scheduled and locked in. And even if they expand, you're not adding more dates to the calendar, you're adding more games to the dates.
So like with college football, you would have to eliminate the conference title games or shorten the regular season because as we said, if you add on the backend, which is push the national championship game out even further because you're adding more college football playoff games, that pushes you into the first week of February. That's NFL territory, like all those sort of things. And you mess with the waters of, you would know this better than I've, maybe I'm not at the top of your head, but the transfer portal and things like that at the end of the year with more teams, that obviously means more players are playing, but there's obviously players that want to transfer as well. So then you muddy those waters. So I think what's happening is you're adding on again, on the front end, you're leaving the NCAA tournament, conference tournament game, sorry, national championship game where it's at, and you're just adding here, which means you sacrifice bowl game slash conference championship.
Stormy Buonantony (2:57)
And also not that money people in sports care whatsoever about this, but from a health and safety standpoint, it's apples and oranges between football and basketball, right? It's an additional car crash that's being added to the schedule, if not more, depending on how many games you end up playing.
Jonathan Von Tobel (3:11)
I was going to say, yeah, depending on what kind of a run you make, right? Yeah, exactly.
Stormy Buonantony (3:15)
Let's keep it rolling with college football, though, sure.
Jonathan Von Tobel (3:16)
Before you move on, because you've been debating this, Dub Sports checks in, he says he lived in Balto and been a Colts and Ravens fan. Talked to you about the Mayflower game a couple of weeks ago.
