Magenta (0:02)
Goodness me, it's Season 4, Bernard.
Bernard (0:05)
Gosh, it's been a long time coming, hasn't it?
Magenta (0:07)
It certainly has. And in fact, you know what it's like when you haven't seen a show for bloody ages, because they're really dragging their feet making the next season.
Bernard (0:15)
Do you feel like we need a little bit of a recap?
Magenta (0:17)
Yeah, I can't remember a damn thing. I mean, we were in the last one.
Bernard (0:20)
We were.
Magenta (0:21)
They haven't called us back for this one.
Bernard (0:23)
Yeah, interesting.
Magenta (0:24)
That's fine, that's fine, I don't mind. Have you got the popcorn?
Bernard (0:26)
Yes, I've got it here. Sweet and salty, the best of both.
Magenta (0:30)
And sour, have you got the sour one as well?
Bernard (0:32)
I'll get right on that.
Magenta (0:34)
All right. It's JJ, not Kate. I changed it.
I'm JJ now. So remind me, JJ.
Bernard (0:40)
Yes, she arrived in the park having been in a relationship with an older man.
Magenta (0:45)
Graham.
Bernard (0:46)
Graham.
Magenta (0:47)
I think she was his babysitter or something.
Bernard (0:49)
Yes.
Magenta (0:49)
And Graham got brutally murdered by Mattage.
Bernard (0:53)
Oh, gosh. Horrible.
Nasty business.
Magenta (0:57)
And Mattie tried to murder her and Betty, of course. That was the climax of Season 1
Bernard (1:01)
Yes, the big finale. Just after JJ had found out that Dorothy was her grandmother.
Magenta (1:06)
And Margot's real mum.
Bernard (1:07)
Are you Margot's mum?
Magenta (1:09)
You're one of Ellen's daughters, the twins. And then Mattie killed Dorothy right in front of JJ. Look out behind you.
Bernard (1:20)
Gosh.
Magenta (1:21)
Oh, oh, Mattie also murdered her Auntie Janet.
Bernard (1:24)
And that's how JJ got to investigating everything that was going on in Mockery Manor in the first place, was she heard the recording of Auntie Janet.
Magenta (1:29)
Katie, is that you? And so unsurprisingly, she went off the rails because that's a lot of trauma.
Bernard (1:37)
And then a lot more people tried to kill her after that, over the years.
Magenta (1:40)
She sort of invited a little bit of trouble herself because she became a smuggler for the Russian mafia.
Bernard (1:46)
You have caused me a lot of problems, English Etho. Or should I say JJ?
Magenta (1:52)
But I think her judgment was off because she was struggling with addiction at that point.
Bernard (1:56)
She was, yes. And then by the time we get to Season 3, she's in recovery.
Magenta (1:59)
I go to meetings on Tuesdays. They help.
Bernard (2:01)
Mate, bloody hell, you've really turned things around the last few years. So then we have Parker as well.
Magenta (2:06)
Parker, lovely Parker.
Bernard (2:07)
Yes, good old reliable, constant rock Parker.
Magenta (2:11)
Do you think he's a rock? He's too much of a flibby jibbit to be a rock.
Bernard (2:14)
Yeah, maybe not a rock. Oh, bloody hell.
Magenta (2:16)
Oh, poor Parker had his share of trauma as well. He lost his dad in a theme park accident.
Bernard (2:21)
Yes, and he's been dragged into an awful lot of very violent situations since then. Oh, bloody hell.
Magenta (2:26)
And actually, he was Matty's friend, wasn't he?
Bernard (2:28)
Yes, they were close in Season 1
Magenta (2:30)
The betrayal. Talking of Matty, well, turns out he's related to JJ and Betty, of course.
Bernard (2:44)
He was their cousin.
Magenta (2:45)
Although it didn't stop him fanciing JJ, did it? I mean, that's the whole reason why he murdered Graham, because he was like, oh, JJ and Graham are together. I'm going to kill him.
Bernard (2:53)
Oh, you creep.
Take an advantage of my JJ. And he also tried to kill Sonya by pushing her off the float just because she was mean to JJ.
Magenta (3:02)
Go get him. God, his body count's quite high, isn't it? So he killed Graham, he killed Dorothy and he killed Janet.
Bernard (3:10)
And he tried to kill JJ, Betty and Sonya as well.
Magenta (3:13)
And that's why he was in a psychiatric unit for years until he broke out. There was that Christmas series, wasn't there?
Bernard (3:19)
The Matty tapes, yes, where we were introduced to Debbie.
Magenta (3:22)
Nurse Debbie. This is your one chance for freedom. There won't be another.
Bernard (3:25)
Nurse Debbie, who helped Matty escape from the psychiatric unit. Come on, love. Let's get the fuck out of here.
Magenta (3:36)
Who am I?
Who am I, Jenkins? So really it all comes back to Margo, who's not the real Margo. God, this is confusing, isn't it? Because the real Margo died in a fire in 48 So the fake Margo was also in the fire and she got terribly burned and she lost her voice. It did something to her vocal cords. That, of course, was Kate, my auntie Kate. So Kate and Janet and Helen were the daughters of the cook.
