56, Carton Show Big Mac. I see now that the official statement from the Mac Conference has come out in regards to the Michigan nonsense from the weekend after further study and investigation. It's now evident that a replay protocol was not properly filed in determining whether time remained on the game clock at the conclusion of the game between Western Michigan and Michigan. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

We are protesting the outcome, and we'd like the NCAA to give us a victory that we earned. So, look, that's not gonna happen.

Chris McMonigle (0:35)

No.

Craig Carton (0:35)

Obviously, but my bigger complaint, I said it on the thing on Outkick this morning, was 110,000 people go to Michigan games. Morons, every one of them. They storm the field. Dude, you were favored by 27 points.

You lost the game. Well, and then you got a reprieve and you won the game.

Chris McMonigle (1:00)

On a great play.

Craig Carton (1:02)

Why are you storming the field? You were favored by four touchdowns.

Chris McMonigle (1:08)

Yeah.

Craig Carton (1:08)

Morons.

Chris McMonigle (1:09)

Yeah, I hear what you're saying. It's embarrassing, but in the moment, you feel like you avoided disaster.

Craig Carton (1:17)

For sure.

Chris McMonigle (1:17)

You avoided being mocked.

Craig Carton (1:18)

They also fell out of the top 25 today.

Chris McMonigle (1:20)

Which they should.

Craig Carton (1:21)

Even though they get the win, everyone recognizes that they wasted ten and a half million dollars on Bryce Underwood. He sucks. And they really lost that game. So they've fallen out of the top 25 Yeah. LSU is in the top 10 now.

But you morons, like I would tell my kid, pack up your bags, you're coming home. You got stupid at Michigan.

You're favored by four touchdowns. Why are we storming a field?

Chris McMonigle (1:45)

Did they tear down the goalposts?

Craig Carton (1:47)

They wanted to.

Chris McMonigle (1:50)

That is, I mean, that's embarrassing. Yeah, that's embarrassing. Yeah, it is embarrassing, but.

Craig Carton (1:54)

Storming the field like you beat Nick Cavins, Alabama Crimson Tide.

Chris McMonigle (1:58)

That's kids today in there, participation, trophies. They think they've earned something with that win.

Craig Carton (2:03)

Embarrassing. Yeah, like I heard the Rutgers kids storm the field when they scored a touchdown.

Chris McMonigle (2:09)

That was just to go after Greg Shiano.

SPEAKER_3 (2:11)

That's right. Where is he?

Craig Carton (2:12)

Where is he? Greg Shiano, by the way.

Chris McMonigle (2:16)

Yeah, I mean, that was embarrassing.

Craig Carton (2:18)

He should have done what was right to the state of New Jersey and to the wonderful academic institution known as Rutgers. He should have resigned. He has stolen so much money from the taxpayers of New Jersey and Rutgers and put Rutgers, by the way, not just him, of course, in a $500 million hole for joining the Big Ten that he should probably give a little something back, a little something.

Greg Shiano.

Chris McMonigle (2:50)

That's the thing too. His buyout is $18 million. They're not going to pay him $18 million to not coach.

Craig Carton (2:56)

Right, they can't afford it.

Chris McMonigle (2:57)

Can't afford it.

Craig Carton (2:58)

No, and I'm not making that up. They're half a billion dollars in debt.

Chris McMonigle (3:01)

And that's just the program, the sports, but the entire school is in that debt, right?

Craig Carton (3:06)

No, the athletic department.

Chris McMonigle (3:07)

Just the athletic department.

Craig Carton (3:08)

Yeah, once they join the Big Ten.

Chris McMonigle (3:10)

But they get money for being in the Big Ten.

Craig Carton (3:12)

Yeah.

Chris McMonigle (3:13)

That's the point. So, how are they?

Craig Carton (3:15)

A bad guy.

The women's sports at Rutgers do not produce income. Yeah, they lose money. I don't care how good they might be. And they've obviously had some great teams there, you know, across the spectrum. Women's sports at Rutgers is a loser financially, all right? But the football program is the biggest loser of all.

They lose gobs and gobs and gobs of money. And since they joined the Big Ten, what, six, seven years ago, whatever it was, they have racked up half a billion dollars of debt, half a billion. And what's in a show for it? And I like Steve Pike a lot. The basketball team hadn't been very good the last couple of years.

Chris McMonigle (3:55)

No, even despite having top picks in the NBA draft. Yeah, yeah.

Craig Carton (4:00)

So anyway, I did see that. I know it's a week ago now, but that was like, I'm trying to figure out which was worse.
