Welcome to Destiny. Now, here's your host, Cliff Dunning.

Well, if you've been following me now for a few months, you know that I'm a big advocate of artificial intelligence. I crossed a major hurdle today and discovered quite surprisingly that you can upload documents in other languages, and AI will translate it for you. And this is, for me, as a amateur archaeologist, if you want to call me that, or historian, quite surprising but quite refreshing. And really fun. I have came across some documents. Some are Padre, the Conquistador priests that followed with the Spanish conquistadors. Documents written in Spanish, as well as some noted Mayan scholars who have passed away who only wrote in Spanish. And some of the research and the translations have been eye-opening. And I had featured a author who I interviewed once about seven, eight years ago, Carlos Barreros, who is a shaman from Guatemala who passed away during COVID, unfortunately. And I was looking forward to continuing our conversation because he was one that had been empowered by a group of grandfathers and elders from different tribes in Guatemala. And one of the things that he had told me is that they were about to turn over a new codus. There was only four known Mayan books in existence, but there's always been rumors of other books that are being held back. And if you follow any of the history of the Guatemalan people, the Mayan indigenous people, they have been treated very poorly, not only by the Mexican government, but for hundreds of years, they've been subjugated to brutal treatment, genocide, not just killing people, but intellectual genocide. So, that makes sense that they wouldn't turn over any kind of new data or research, and Carlos was one who was going to introduce it. Well, we have no idea if that'll ever happen now that he's passed away. But in a series of documents, and the very first book that he wrote, he makes an amazing claim from the elders regarding the number of what is known as ceremonial centers. Ceremonial centers is another word, indigenous term for cities, Maya cities. The reason that's important is that there is a portion of my book on pyramids where at one time, there were 52,000 active pyramids.

Active pyramids, meaning that they are energized in some form or another. In a matter, we're still trying to figure out. Well, in this new translation, it's not 52,000, it's 260,000 ceremonial centers. I'll repeat that, 260,000 ceremonial centers.

Now that is a huge, huge number of cities that we have yet to find. Now, if you've been following news, Mayan news, you'll know that in 2017, the consortium of universities and American companies invested in a LIDAR project that scanned the Peitan jungle, although it's the Guatemala Biosphere, and they found 60,000 unknown, unexcavated, unsurveyed ruins. I later discovered that it's not necessarily 60,000 pyramids, it's cities, temples, dwellings, structures that they were able to calculate. I don't know, and I need to find this out. I don't know how they figured out 60,000, but somebody did an account. This is amazing, first of all. Secondly, that is the only major location that they've done a scan like this. In other areas where there's dense populations like Campeche, the state of Campeche, the state of Yucatan, and other locations, there hasn't been significant LIDAR scans.

When they say 260,000 ceremonial centers, I don't think that's too far off. If just one small 200-mile radius came up with 60,000. But this is the kind of information that is being opened to us non-Spanish speakers and the power of artificial intelligence. I was blown away at that number. I was blown away. That is a civilization that is on the move. And remember also that archaeologists have divided the Maya into two periods, the pre-classic, roughly 2,000 BC up until about 300 or 250 BC. And then the classic, 200 AD into a couple of hundred years ago.

And this is another question that I bring up in this book is, what is the difference? What is the, you know, you would think the pre-classic would be very rudimentary, they're challenged by building, engineering, architecture, land forms, agriculture. It goes on and on.

It turns out that the pre-classic in many ways is much more sophisticated than the classic. And the largest freestanding pyramids are being discovered that are very old. So we don't really, we don't really have a great idea. We have, we assume a great deal about the Maya.

And it's an eye-opener for me. And this is why my book has now reached to a couple of, it's like 300 pages with illustrations and photographs.

So, wow, AI continues to surprise and delight. And it's just getting better. I did a quick review the other day and I asked Watson, Watson is my AI assistant, what we can expect in the next couple of years, 24 months, in terms of being able to support data and report on it. And the response was we'll be able to work doubly fast or 50 percent faster, which blows my mind and really gets me excited about my next project, which is regarding the largest sculptures in the world known as the Colossi of Egypt. And I'll be talking a little bit about that, but I'll discuss it more later in the year, probably more into 2027 So very exciting. And remember, remember this, I encourage everyone to at least experiment with chat GBT free version, Claude free version, Gemini free version. And if you're resistant, just know that it's going to be embedded and it has been embedded in Google search and other search engines. And eventually, I think this goes for most of these search engines. They will be 100% AI driven. It's just much more flexible, it's more versatile, and it's faster, which is amazing.
