You're listening to The Drew Lane Show.
**Brandon McAfee** (0:02)
Look at this panel of losers.
**Drew Lane** (0:05)
All right, what a great panel of losers we got going today with Dave Landow and Ives.
**Brandon McAfee** (0:11)
Hey.
**Drew Lane** (0:12)

And, of course, Dave will be at Rock & Brews October 2nd. That's right. With me and WATP and some of us as well.
We should have a little blot. The show is sold out. And funny, I saw Mojo was doing a podcast over there. I think a week before we are.
**Roberto** (1:11)
At Rock & Brews? Yeah.
**Dave Landau** (1:13)
Oh, nice.
**Drew Lane** (1:14)
So maybe the podcasting world is getting out in public more in front of audiences and charging money too. It's pretty cool. I never thought that would happen.
**Dave Landau** (1:23)
No, but it's a good thing.
**Drew Lane** (1:24)
Yeah, it is a good thing. People have a good time. We had a great time last year and the year before we got sold out the meet and greets. And those are always fun. Spend an hour with, I think, 60 of you people. So we're all looking forward to that. I know Carl is psyched and they got a great group coming, including Adam Bush, his first appearance at one of our shows, this being the fifth one. So, so much going on. I think yesterday I delayed it a little while. Might as well get right into it, because it was a little... I saw some comments that were, people were a little unhappy about the Hayden-Penatieri coverage. And I knew that would happen, but I saw a lot of people said, you know, I've kind of been thinking the same thing, that something is not right in the world of Hayden.
I think she and this boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, I think they both have real serious problems. I think her mother is fucked up.
**SPEAKER_7** (2:18)
Yeah.
**Drew Lane** (2:20)
A lot of people are insisting that the mother be blamed on social media, and the mother's going after the boyfriend.
**Dave Landau** (2:27)
Well, the mother certainly lit the wick by pushing her into child stardom.
**Drew Lane** (2:31)
Yeah, she did. That's a good way of putting it. The mother is estranged from Hayden. Should she really be saying, it's Brian Hickerson's fault?
**Dave Landau** (2:40)
Yeah, I feel like she didn't know either of them.
**Drew Lane** (2:42)
No, I don't think she did.
**SPEAKER_8** (2:44)
I think she's got some very deep-seated problems.
**Marc Fellhauer** (2:47)
But we can all agree, it definitely was not Hayden's fault at all.
**Drew Lane** (2:51)
Oh, no, not a bit.
**Marc Fellhauer** (2:52)
I mean, isn't that really what it is? Because she's the celebrity, nobody wants to blame her.
**Drew Lane** (2:57)
Yeah.
**Marc Fellhauer** (2:58)
Addiction's tricky. Well, you know, addiction's tricky, right?
**SPEAKER_8** (3:01)
Yeah, do I?
**Drew Lane** (3:01)
Yeah. Hell, yeah.
**SPEAKER_8** (3:03)
You know what I mean?
**Marc Fellhauer** (3:04)
It's like there's some personal responsibility, but it's not that easy either.
**Dave Landau** (3:07)
Yeah, you have to blame yourself at some point. She wasn't young. I mean, she was young, obviously.
But she's, yeah, she's thirty-six years old. She's capable of decision making, and knowing when she's going the wrong way. But we do kind of put these people in these situations, not we, but, you know, her mom.
**Marc Fellhauer** (3:24)
But it is also a disease, too.
**Dave Landau** (3:25)
It is. But it kills you.
**Drew Lane** (3:29)
For the mom to be just going after the boyfriend's like, you know, you have so much blame here, or at least some blame. Why is she tearing into this guy, who I think is kind of a shitbag, too? I mean, there was domestic violence, which he acknowledges in this TMZ interview. And people were going crazy. Did you happen to watch this, Mark?
**Marc Fellhauer** (3:47)
I did.
**Drew Lane** (3:48)
Yeah.
**Marc Fellhauer** (3:49)
My first takeaway is this guy does a terrible impersonation of Matthew McConaughey.
