If we're going to see this kind of meltdown and semiconductors continue, we start getting margin calls in that sector, that's going to put more pressure on the broad market.
And, you know, again, we're going to see a bit of underperformance occur. That could potentially set us up for that five to 10 percent correction going into the midterms, which, as I've been saying for a couple of months now, I think that's our most likely outcome over the next two months.
**Adam Taggart** (1:28)
Welcome to Thoughtful Money. I'm Thoughtful Money Founder and your host, Adam Taggart. Welcome you here at the end of the week for another weekly market recap with my good friend, the electorally suspicious portfolio manager, Lance Roberts. Lance, how you doing?
**Lance Roberts** (1:42)
I'm fine today, I'm fine. Why am I electorally suspicious?
**Adam Taggart** (1:45)
Well, last night, President Trump came out and delivered an address to the nation warning about Chinese and other nations' influences in our electoral process.
And you're the kind of guy that if you were running, I know that you would be sending your goons out to make sure people voted the right way. You'd have all sorts of dead people from the past 250 years voting.
**Lance Roberts** (2:11)
For sure. Well, look, with people my age, finding people 150 year old isn't that hard. So, I mean, there's lots of stuff we can do.
**Adam Taggart** (2:20)
So, it was kind of interesting. I'm not going to get into that topic today, but just looking at the news before I hopped on with you, really not a lot of coverage of it. And maybe the media is just digesting all of the documents that were dropped first. But I sort of suspected there would be more commentary about it this morning. But anyways, and we'll, so I'll get off the topic, but I will earmark it for the rant. We're going to talk about something briefly related when we get to the end of today's discussion. All right. So some interesting things going on in tech and in the AI space. And most folks watching today hopefully have seen the video that I released earlier this week with Fred Hickey on the AI complex. And I'm going to bring in a couple of points of Fred's for you to react to in a second. Lance, just real quick, I want to give folks just kind of a quick heads up.
I have, so in a week, with the week of July 27th, we will not have any videos on this channel. I will be away on vacation. My wife and I will be celebrating, well really technically our 26th wedding anniversary. We were supposed to celebrate our 25th anniversary in style last year, and then we ended up moving to Nevada from California, so we had to kind of uproot our life, and we said, you know what, we'll punt, we'll go big next year, which we're doing, we're going to go to Glacier National Park for a week and camp out there, and it hopefully should be really fun. But of course, now we're having to move again. So we didn't really save ourselves the headache this time, but anyways, we're doing the celebration. So folks, that week there won't be any videos on this channel. I'll be back in action the following Monday, which I think is August 2nd.
And I just want to ask folks a personal plea here. I have not taken a full week off, and certainly not a full week away from producing videos for so many years that I can't remember when. And part of it, Lance, is this kind of deep-rooted anxiety that if there are no videos on this channel, that everybody will just wander off and not come back. So hopefully, folks, that doesn't happen. And hopefully, when I come back, I'll be arrested. And I've actually got a lot of really great, some great guests lined up.
