Now here's your host, Cliff Dunning. Wow, one of those strange days, you know, you hope that the Internet is always working, but when it doesn't work, it can be a real problem. I have AT&T, and you know, it's like they're constantly fixing the lines. This has been going on now for almost two months, and they make every excuse in the world. I love the excuse about being fixed by 11 a.m. Never, ever is it on time. And so I have been dealing with Internet problems now for the last, like I said, two months. And luckily, I can use hotspots or Xfinity now for 10 bucks a month. But that kind of strange way to start the show. Sorry about that. It's been a challenge. I have not been able to use my desktop, which is what I use for interviews. I've been using my, thank God for Apple, Apple laptop, which I've been using for writing as well. And so anyhow, I'm not going to spend the whole introduction of this podcast crying about internet problems, but I was thinking about Robert Shock's solar flare discussion. And what would happen if the whole world was blasted by a solar flare and it melted our relay stations? So we didn't have internet, we didn't have any form of electronics. It'd be devastating, it'd be completely devastating. I don't know what we would do. I mean, I don't know if we're prepared for that. That's one of those questions. It's funny because when we had Randall Carlson on, we were discussing what happens if we have a Turin meteor stream impact like we had at the younger dryas. What would happen?
We're pretty much screwed. We're pretty much in serious trouble. And I don't know if anyone's preparing for this. We're just going along and living our lives. But is there preventatives that are in place? You got to wonder, maybe they are in place, but we're just not told about it because people, they don't want to freak people out. In the same manner that the Brookings Institute created the document in 1960 about first contact, the fear, the great fear that would overcome. You know, I am at a place now where, and I think a lot of you are too, is like if they show, if the ETs make themselves known, are you gonna be upset? Are you gonna lose sleep? Are you not gonna be able to eat your food? Are you not gonna be able to have a drink?
I, for one, welcome it. Now, it hasn't happened yet, and there's a great deal of talk that is gonna be demonstrating to our religious centers and our institutions, but I'm thinking we're smarter, we're tougher than that.
Now, if you're, you are a fundamentalist, you are a born again, and you are a religious person, and I have friends that are very religious. If you're told that there isn't a God, that you are God, that might freak people out.
And a lot of people go to church because they need to be told what's going on, how to interpret things. I don't know how I feel about that. I'm not a religious person. As you know, if you've been listening to Earth Ancients or Destiny for years, you know that I'm not a religious person. I'm a spiritual person. But the question is, if there is first contact, do the churches flip out? And I think Brookings said they do. And so that's another reason not to tell people that there's going to be alien contact. Getting back to my first point, if the Internet is melted and we don't have Internet, I think we're in serious trouble.
And I think I can't, you know, I keep abreast of the news pretty regularly. I can't think of any studies on this.
I gotta get my books done before things happen before.
We are at the end of Kali Yuga and we're entering Dwarpa Yuga.
So I think politically we're at the worst part of life here in the United States. I think there's a lot of strain in Western culture.
But I think we still have it pretty well. We have it pretty good. We're not dealing with any pandemics anymore.
There's not runaway disease.
We're all working to stay afloat, going to the movies. By the way, I mentioned that I went to the Odyssey. And I got to tell you, if you haven't seen the Odyssey, it was shot on 70 millimeter. If you ever seen a 70 millimeter camera, they are huge. They weigh like 400 or 500 pounds. But the quality of the image, I think I talked about this. Now, there's another version of the Odyssey with the Odysseus as played by Ralph Fine, who's brilliant, brilliant. And in the American version, the Odyssey, Odysseus is played by Matt Damon, who's kind of a kid, even with his gray beard that he grew out, he doesn't cover it quite as well. You got to be, because of the emotion and the intrigue and the personalities involved, you got to be really a stage actor to pull off the Odyssey. Anyhow, that's the last time I went to the movies, and that was recently. And I was telling him I had to go see Spider-Man. But I haven't had a good excuse to go to the movies in years. There really hasn't been any good movies. In fact, I don't know any other movies I don't want to go see. I mean, the big screen is beautiful for certain movies, but not great for others. So getting back to the beginning of this thing. So I haven't had Internet. I haven't had functional Internet now for 60 days. It's come off and on, off and on. And I'm pulling strings to post this event, to post this version. And I think it's going to come across okay. But will someone please send a letter to AT&T and say, Cliff doesn't need this instability. He needs to have stability. By the way, again, and I'm going to talk about this on Saturday when we have our Earth Ancients program, AI is becoming much, much, much more powerful, continues to evolve.
