September 1, 2026
━ We break down how to build a focused team of AI agents, turn a simple offer into revenue, and avoid using AI as another form of procrastination. After our conversation, I test Grok Bot myself and use it to build a working productivity app in under an hour. Enjoy! --- ---

This is an amazing opportunity. This is a new product, it works great. You're getting probably $10,000 worth of tokens for your subscription. Use it to make money. Stop organizing your Gmail for the sixth time. That's not going to change your life.
Chris Koerner (0:13)
Anything you see on Twitter that people are getting wrong about Grok Bot?
Billy Howell (0:16)
Yeah, everything.
Chris Koerner (0:18)
Let's hear it.
Billy Howell (0:19)
Everything that I see on Twitter is like, Whoa, I just had Grok Bot make this knowledge graph, and it called my dad and this and that.
Chris Koerner (0:28)
It's just advanced forms of procrastination.
Billy Howell (0:30)
Yeah.
Chris Koerner (0:31)
It's got a bias reaction. It just does stuff.
Billy Howell (0:33)
I couldn't automate it with Codex, couldn't automate it with Notion. Grok Bot took over immediately. It was doing stuff that I couldn't set up. I don't think you need a lot. I don't think you need to customize. I don't think you need to make 80 different agents. They're just good to go. They know what to do. They can work on it even when your laptop's closed.
Chris Koerner (0:50)
It's already done. What the crap? My gosh, it works. That's crazy. Okay, that was very easy.
If someone is brand new to Grok Bot and they want to use it to build something, like you're saying, what's like a good first step or an agent that can get someone to revenue?
Billy Howell (1:05)
This is a pro tip.
Chris Koerner (1:10)
I can't go three feet nowadays without hearing about Grok Bot. What is Grok Bot? Well, we all know we have Chad GPT, Claude, Gemini and Grok, which is owned by Elon X, Twitter, whatever. That's Grok. Grok just came out with Grok Bot, which is an agent. It's an AI agent that's groundbreaking. It's amazing. It does stuff for you. We've talked about agents before, but this seems to be the best one so far. So last year, I had a friend named Billy Howell on the pod. You guys loved him. He was one of my best episodes of last year. We'll link it in the show notes. He's on the cutting edge of these agents. So I had him on to teach us and tell us what is Grok Bot? How can we use it? How can we prompt it? Most importantly, how can we make money with it? If you hear a few acronyms you're not familiar with, CLI, command line interface, it's just a way of interacting with a computer. API, it's a way that software interacts with each other. But don't worry about all that. If you ever wanted an AI agent to run a business for you, start a business for you and make money for you, today you're gonna hear it from a guy who's actually doing that today. And then after I hang up with Billy, I go ahead and download Grok Bot for the first time and build an app. Guys, it blew my mind, okay? Open Claw is cool, right? But it's pretty confusing. This is as confusing as signing up for a Facebook account is. It's not confusing at all. And it really freakishly blew my mind how quickly I had a working sellable app. So interview first and then build second. Okay. So why don't we just start broadly and tell me how you're using Grok Bot today.
Billy Howell (2:36)
Okay. So I'm using it to run Arlington Bagel, which is my local events and restaurant news newsletter. It runs editorial, it runs research and it runs the sales team as well as the Shopify for the lovely hats. But what I like about it is I can only give each of those agents one thing to do at a time. And I've noticed, I don't know, Chris, do you use Grok Bot at all?
Chris Koerner (3:01)
I never have, but I want to.
Billy Howell (3:03)
Whoa! Okay.
Chris Koerner (3:04)
Yeah.
Billy Howell (3:04)
Okay. So yesterday I set up a second Grok Bot account.
It's cheaper now. And I was like, I just want to try this. It's been doing some great stuff. I tweeted some of it. Like it's helping me schedule junk pickups, helping me like find tee times, find cheap wizards tickets, bunch of cool stuff like that. But I've got fricking, I've got 20 bots and everything I think that I can do, I can do with Grok Bot. And so that's the problem. I sit texting Grok Bot all day and that happens even worse, I think to people and tools like Chat Cheap ETC or Clawd because of how projects are set up and how threads are set up. And so all that is to say, Grok Bot makes you very mission focused. But if you're using it for everyday life stuff, I don't think you're going to get the max potential. I don't think it's going to click for you. Does that make sense?
