The Knicks have a major roster decision incoming. But it's not what you think. It's not about the Knicks adding another center. This is about their two-way contracts. We're gonna break down all of these latest reports today.

Major roster decision incoming. The Knicks still need to make other moves to complete this roster. And I'm not talking about filling that 14th roster spot. I'm speaking about the Knicks two-way contracts. They have three two-way contracts to offer other players. And these are the players being considered at the moment.
Shoutout to postingandtoasting.com for giving us this following information. According to them, the last bit of business the Knicks will have to figure out is the two-way math. Last year, the team carried Kevin McCullar Jr., Trey Jemison III, and Toussaint Yves Beaumont into the season, but swapped Yves Beaumont for an NBA champion in Dillon Jones' midseason.
Dillon Jones has stayed around the organization during the Summer League, so it wouldn't be a surprise if he stayed on a two-way after being a big locker room piece. Tyler Nickel will probably start on a two-way, and if Jack Cahill stays in America, he'll also go on one too.
But the Knicks should want to keep Jemison and McCullar around. It's been total radio silence for both of them this offseason. But you can do a lot worse than having them on two-way deals.
Because Jack Cahill would need to be bought out, he's likely not going to get a two-way contract. It would not happen under these circumstances. So he's likely going to play overseas next season. That means Tyler Nickel, he's going to get a two-way contract. By the sounds of it, Dillon Jones, he's going to get a two-way contract. That leaves one two-way contract remaining. What player is going to get that two-way contract?
According to postingandtoasting.com, the Knicks are able to bring on as many as 21 guys into training camp without damaging their second apron space. So, it wouldn't surprise me if we see Nickel, Jemison, McCullar, Jones, and another guy or two in camp to compete for those two-way contracts. Did Liam Robbins do enough in Summer League to get a tryout? In my opinion, he absolutely did. The only question is, will he get one of those two-way contract spots or not?
It looks like the Knicks could have an open competition for that final two-way roster spot, with Trey Jemison III and Kevin McCullar Jr. battling it out during training camp, likely with other players to see who gets that final two-way spot. In my opinion, I really do love Kevin McCullar Jr. I've said this before, but he's really Josh Hart 2.0. He does everything on the floor, and last season, he proved that under Mike Brown. He had a phenomenal game, and he can continue to do that if given the opportunity. The only problem with McCullar is his injuries, his injury history. Every single time you think it can't get worse for this kid, it does. He gets into another injury problem, and then he has to wait on the shelf until he gets healthy once again. If he had no injury concerns, and he was fully healthy, this wouldn't even be a decision. It wouldn't even be something to think about. Kevin McCullar Jr., he would have that roster spot. But as of right now, because of the injuries, nothing is guaranteed. That's why in my opinion, given all the issues that the Knicks have with the center position, and all the concerns they have with it, Trey Jemison III sounds like a safe bet. If you asked me today, who is the most likely player to get that final two-way contract, in my opinion, it would be Trey Jemison III. Because let's say, the Knicks don't get the center option that they want to fill in that 14th roster spot. And then something happens with their debt.
