Hard to believe that August has arrived, but here we are and we've got a Mailbag Monday episode to get to with our good pal, Kevin Connelly from Baldurum, who joins us here on today's show. Really good questions that we'll get a chance to answer as Kevin joins us. JJ, it's a tall hill to climb from last Mailbag Monday, but I think the viewers and the listeners are up for the challenge. So I'm excited to be here. I'm ready to go. Really looking forward to this. So let's get into it, man.

Yeah, we've got the questions. They are incredible that everybody was able to provide for us. Now it's just up to you and I to make sure we have our A-game as we go through this.

Before we even get started, that's right. Okay, here we go. Let's talk about X-Factors to open up today's show. Which Duke player has the biggest X-Factor potential? Someone wrote in. Not necessarily best player, but who could drastically and dramatically change Duke's ceiling if they outperform expectations? Any X-Factor come to mind for you first, Kevin?

**Kevin Connelly** (2:30)
It's very difficult for me to label an X-Factor because we haven't seen games.
I think an X-Factor like, I don't think you can call John Blackwell an X-Factor because I think John Blackwell is going to be a major piece of this team. I don't think you can call Patrick Ngongba an X-Factor because you expect big numbers from him. You could even probably say the same for Jojo Bumche Bumche, and that might be your answer, JJ. But going into the season, at least right now in early August, we expect him to be a major contributor to this team. So I don't know if I can really call him an X-Factor.
I'm going to pick up right where I left off last week. I'm going Dame Sarr. If Dame Sarr, and yes, I know a lot of people have high expectations for him this year. But if he outperforms those expectations, if he shows that he can be a legitimate offensive weapon, if he could score from three-point range, I think that raises Duke's ceiling. If Dame Sarr can be the player, I don't know if I want to say that we expected last year, because I came on your show so many times and said, hang on everybody, there is going to be an adjustment period for this guy. Like it's not you come over internationally and you're a star right away. Now I didn't think he would have the struggles throughout the course of the year. I thought it would turn around at some point, but he certainly showed late in the year how good he could be and how he could impact the game defensively. But I think it is Dame Sarr. Dame Sarr can really outperform his expectations. I don't know if it dramatically changes Duke's ceiling, but I certainly think it raises Duke's ceiling.
