All right, welcome back or welcome to the Finding Mastery Podcast. I'm Michael Gervais. And the idea behind these conversations is to learn from people who are on the path of mastery.

And one of the things that we take a look at is their psychological framework, their unique journey that has led them to understand how they understand the world and how they understand themselves in it. And the reason that's important is so that we can almost use this conversation as an acid test about our own psychological framework. And maybe if we hear some things that we've always wanted to adopt or always wanted to try to work towards, and maybe they can illuminate a certain way of thinking or behaviors or habits or patterns of thinking that will get us closer to it. Okay. And that doesn't mean that everything we hear we're going to resonate with. So sometimes that acid test is also, you know, like, wow, that doesn't work for me. That would never work for me. And so it's the balancing of both of those that over time, I think is going to help us become better at whatever we're interested in. I want to take a minute here to announce a really exciting event that we have coming up. As you continue to navigate the challenges and opportunities of 2024, I want to pose a question, what are you doing right now to be great with stress? How are you working with stress on your pursuit towards your most important ambitions and goals? And I just want to get right to the heart of the key elements, one in particular, for what it takes to excel in today's high heat, high stakes world. Because stress is not the problem that we think it is. Stress is a synonym for change, and our ability to be agile with change, that is the real opportunity at hand. So if you're wanting to unlock extraordinary results and sustainable performance in your life, it's not about avoiding or reducing stress. And as simple as that sounds, it's very tricky to do, but it is about fundamentally changing your relationship with it.

And that's why I'm so thrilled to invite you to a special event. It's a free virtual event that we're offering, and it's called The Power of Embracing Stress. It's on Wednesday, March 6th at 2 p.m. Pacific. So to sign up, just head over to findingmastery.com/training. And this is, I say in the podcast that I'm not really, or in the conversation, I'm not really sure how she's been able to do what she's done. So she has an undergraduate degree in biology. She has a master's degree in exercise phys. And then she also holds a PhD in strategy, specializing in leadership and human performance.

So she's also a yoga instructor. She also has a deep mindfulness practice. She's married. And as she refers in her relationship to a relationship that her husband is also deployed. And so they also have two children. And so raising the two children with a husband being away and she's got, you know, her hands full on it. So this is a great conversation about how, how to be able to do much and excel and the challenge inside of that. So I hope you love this conversation.
