I learned to wash my hair very infrequently in the early days of natural hair care journeys on social media. The girls were all saying to wash your hair like once a month, but really my lifestyle and hair type required a lot more washing, conditioning, and holding onto water as long as possible to achieve great and moisturized results.

My journey is a little different.

Natasha Scott-Reichel (0:25)

I have a TWA, teeny weeny afro. You guys know I cut my hair a little bit ago now, feels like forever and I love it.

Justine Kay (0:35)

Yeah, three years ago, right?

SPEAKER_3 (0:36)

Three years ago.

Natasha Scott-Reichel (0:39)

I really just wanted no maintenance.

My main concern now with having such short hair is just keeping my hair moisturized. I've also now, I'm five months postpartum, I'm dealing with postpartum hair loss around my edges.

Even more so, I just want my hair to remain hydrated and moist. And so that's like super important to me. I've enjoyed using Baskin-Lather products, specifically their stimulating scalp and hair balm, which nourishes and hydrates from the inside out. All ingredients not only are natural, but they help penetrate the hair strands without clogging the pores as well. It's not greasy, there's no petroleum. I also am almost done with their hydrating hair mist, which keeps my hair super soft and shiny and hydrated. It combines aloe vera and avocado oil, treats dryness specifically, helps define your curls. And yeah, I know you use that product as well, Justine.

Justine Kay (1:38)

It's so crazy how anyone in the world can use the hydrating hair mist. It is good for everything. It's one of those all-in-one products, because it smells really good and it keeps your hair nice and moisturized. The mist itself, great mist.

SPEAKER_3 (1:52)

Yeah, it's a good spray.

Justine Kay (1:55)

Great circumference on that spray, which is actually so much more important than you would ever think. When you are using a mist on the regular, it's also so good when I have braids. I love using the hydrating hair mist. It keeps from that itchy feeling that you get when you've had your braids in for a little too long.

Mikayla and this outfit, this Kraft macaroni and cheese orange. I hate the way her boobs are sitting.

I hate this long, hot leather midi skirt.

Justine Kay (3:15)

It looks like she didn't even cut the slit in the back. It's still back there.

Natasha Scott-Reichel (3:18)

It's still back there.

Justine Kay (3:19)

It's still so, these long red nails.

SPEAKER_5 (3:22)

This giving red chest. Like, damn, Mikayla.

Natasha Scott-Reichel (3:33)

All right, we're recording.

Justine Kay (3:34)

Recording, everybody. Hello, hello.

SPEAKER_5 (3:36)

Hello, hello.

Justine Kay (3:38)

Welcome to 2 Black Girls, 1 Rose.

Natasha Scott-Reichel (3:40)

Together, we'll uncover what we can learn about modern dating, love and relationships from popular television. I'm Natasha.

Justine Kay (3:46)

And I'm Justine.

Natasha Scott-Reichel (3:47)

What are your thoughts on a Boston accent?

Justine Kay (3:49)

No.

Well, okay, here's the thing. I love most accents because I just think they're fun to listen to, and it makes you distinct, and it's like a distinct character thing. And I have a pretty strong accent, so I appreciate it when other people have one. But to be attracted to somebody, it's similar to me with Australian accents. Can't do it, friend.

SPEAKER_6 (4:10)

Cannot do it.

Justine Kay (4:12)

What do you think? Oh, no, no, no, no.

Natasha Scott-Reichel (4:15)

I oddly like a Boston accent.

Justine Kay (4:17)

That is on par with also the Australian branding of my hatred. Tell me.

Natasha Scott-Reichel (4:26)

I just think it's a cool accent. I don't know if I need to like marry somebody with a Boston, like, you know, hear that every day of my life type of thing.

Justine Kay (4:34)

But you could lay down with somebody with a Boston accent? I mean, maybe.

SPEAKER_3 (4:38)

Is that Natasha? Yeah.

SPEAKER_7 (4:42)

Natasha.
