I'm hearing a lot of investors asking the same question. Where can I find reliable income in this market without taking equity market risk? That's where TermPlus comes in. It's designed to maintain a steady buffer over the RBA cash rate, providing regular distributions and somewhat of a cushion and diversification on your passive income. To find out more about TermPlus, simply search for TermPlus or head to termplus.com.au where you can find the PDS and TMD. And don't forget to tell them Rasz sent you.
Are your ad campaigns lighting up the dashboard, but not the pipeline?

That's bull spend and marketers are calling it out in dashboard confessions. My boss asked for results, so I opened my dashboard for the only positive sounding metric I had. Impressions.

**Owen Rask** (1:26)
Cut the bull spend.

We interrupt regular programming to bring you a very special episode recorded at the Royal Society of Victoria building in Melbourne just this week. It features James Phelan. We've interrupted Drew while he was doing Lord Knows What, and we've brought James in to answer some of your most tricky questions. James is the co-head of advice at our business, Rask Advice. He's very technically gifted, and we brought him in to answer some of the really sticky tax questions that have come about as a result of the recent government budget proposals. Some of those have already passed into law. I'm talking about things like negative gearing, CGT, family trusts and so forth. We got a lot of questions sent in in recent weeks, and we figured who better to answer those than James. This episode is recorded in video and audio in a live environment. So please forgive us a little bit if it's a little bit patchy. That's okay. But I hope you enjoy this episode of the Australian Investors Podcast featuring James Phelan, co-head of advice at Rask Advice. Hey there, here's a quick note. This podcast contains general financial advice only. That means it's not specific to you, your needs, goals, or objectives. So don't act on the information until you've spoken with your financial advisor. You'll find our full disclosure, disclaimer, and link to our financial services guide in the show notes.
We've been running our financial advice business for just over a year now.
And James is our co-head of advice.
And Tali, who was here a minute ago, there she is. She's also the other co-head of advice. And together, they're a pretty dynamic duo.
And the reason why you may or may not have heard James and Tali on the podcast as much, is because they're so busy.
So we're going to try and change that over the next year, and you'll hear more of from our advice team. But in the absence of that, you can just ask any questions you like tonight. So James comes from quite a technical background in financial planning. He's based in Newcastle, and basically is the go-to for our team when things get a bit hairy with tax. So we're going to spend a little bit of time on that tonight. And given all the changes recently, he's a wealth of knowledge. So this is a, it looks, the warning looks the same. There's one word that's changed, which is Rask Advice is here. So we will take questions. We'll try and be concise. That's a warning for me.
And if we do answer your questions, it's only general in nature. So we'll just dive straight in. This year, the government delighted us by bringing in some proposals, which have been received, not necessarily made us all happy, but there's been a lot of change. And that's what we're going to spend a bit of time on. We're going to answer some of the key topics for people that have built wealth either through business, investing or a combination of all of the above, maybe even in unlisted assets like property. But with that said, James, welcome.
