This game started out late and got off to a bang with Pete Crowe Armstrong having a lead off home run in the bottom of the first inning, second consecutive day, he had a lead off home run. Cubs had a 2-0 lead over the Reds, going into the top of the fourth inning where Hunter Rodriguez hit a three run home run off Ashota Iminaga to give the Reds a three to two lead. The Cubs have just responded in the bottom of the fourth inning with a Ramirez fly out, scoring Ian Happ because of a throwing error. You always like to see a little little league play on the day where we had the Little League World Series Championship. Congratulations, by the way, to Curacao winning the Little League World Series. And congratulations to the kids from Henderson, Nevada, Paseo Verde, Little League, just a couple of minutes away from here, couple of minutes, probably 20 minute drive, but representing the city of Las Vegas, representing the state of Nevada and representing the country as your United States champions. Congratulations to those kids. Great tournament. Unfortunately, came up short losing to Curacao in the championship game here in Williamsport at the Little League World Series. Back to Sunday Night Baseball, Cubs and Reds are tied at three as we go to the top of the fifth inning. Our best bet in this game was under on Shota Iminaga's strikeouts. He has three strikeouts through four innings. He's allowed five hits, three runs, one walk and the one home run. He's at 66 pitches. Let's see what happens here in the top of the fifth inning. And if there's any weather that could come into play because there is rain in the forecast. We have already seen rain here during this game. If there's a stoppage at any point, maybe it shortens the outing here for Shota Iminaga, or maybe he only goes to the fifth inning. And that's about it. We are also waiting to hear from Aaron Donald, the newest, oldest member of the Los Angeles Rams, is going to speak to the media, or he did already speak to the media. We will get his comments as he comes out of retirement to rejoin the Los Angeles Rams. The biggest news here on NFL Cut Down Day is Aaron Donald returning here to the Rams. We will hear from Aaron Donald coming up in about 10 minutes or so, about 15 minutes from right now. Other news on Cut Down Day here in the NFL, congratulations to Odell Beckham Jr, who has made the New York Giants' initial 53-man roster. We will see if that holds for now, but for now, OBJ earned a spot on the Giants' 53-man roster. And a big story out of Green Bay.
The NFL has placed Packers running back Josh Jacobs on the Commissioner's Exempt List. Now, Jacobs was in the news earlier this week because he was charged with two misdemeanors resulting from an alleged incident that occurred with a woman back in May. His court date is for November, November 17th, but the NFL doesn't have to wait for the legal process to play out. The NFL can make their own determinations on whether or not we're going to see any discipline, and so the NFL is still reviewing the case, right? But they have decided to place Jacobs on the commissioners exempt list. And so because of that, Jacobs cannot practice or attend games. He is going to be paid. And with the team's permission, he is allowed to be at the facility for meetings, individual workouts, medical treatments, or other non football activities. But he cannot practice or attend any games. So the Packers will be without their starting running back for the start of the regular season, unless this gets resolved in the next week or so. That means Marshawn Lloyd and Chris Brooks will handle running back duties for the Green Bay Packers going into the start of their season. And that is an interesting development here. One that I think the Packers might have been prepared for. Anyway, the Packers are at the Vikings week number one Sunday. And you already know how high I am on the Minnesota Vikings this year. Now with this Josh Jacobs news, Minnesota is now a one and a half point favorite over the Green Bay Packers. And it's a play that I absolutely like for Kyle Murray and the Vikings to beat the Packers here in week number one. Shota Minagawa is Gale Polidov's homerun here in the top of the fifth inning. So this is going to be good for maybe this being his last outing, last inning of the outing as he doesn't look good here. He's given up four runs now and back to back innings allowing a homerun. So could be looking to catch this strikeout prop here regardless of whether you played the five and a half or the four and a half. Nobody out here in the top of the fifth inning four to three.
