This is Live Bet Saturday on VSiN, the Sports Betting Network.

College Football Week 1, it is here. We are back, we are all the way back. Welcome back into Live Bet Saturday. I'm Dustin Swedelson, VSiN, the Sports Betting Network. And as we return from break, the Texas Longhorns have scored again 14-0. Daily, our Texas Longhorns have scored 14-0 over Texas State as Arch Manning and his receiving core, Hummon early on, Ryan Wingo, with the second score for the Longhorns. Cam Coleman found the end zone to begin things. And just like that, 14-0 Texas with the lead on Texas State. Looking at the current in-game number there, we've got Texas up to a 37.5 point favorite. Total in that contest up to 63.5.

We like that. We're on the over 61.5 in that game. I just think we're going to have a high scoring affair. But at some point, we need Texas State to show up offensively and help add to the scoring in this contest. Boise State, as we went to break, I believe they got a huge stop of Oregon on third down. And Boise, I believe, is, they have the ball again. They forced a punt out of Oregon. And, or no, turnover on downs, on Oregon went forward on fourth down. Boise State with the football, they have good field position. They're at midfield right now as they scored on their opening drive. Let's see what they have right now for their second drive of the game. Boise, or Oregon, is down to a 14 1⁄2 point favorite.

I, huge third down coming here. You gotta be ahead of these things. And one thing you always have to remember when you're live betting, is that your sports book is usually ahead of the game that you're seeing on your TV.

But I believe they're going to get this because this number on another book I'm looking at is down to 11 1⁄2.

I am going to lay 11 1⁄2 with Oregon.

I'm taking the discount. I can go figure it out. At some point, this team will show up when it matters. And on third and five, they just got to stop. Why was I, oh, my bet was canceled. It's now 13 1⁄2. I'm going to lay the 13 1⁄2. I had 11 1⁄2, but it moved as I fired it off. Come on, get in there there, and we're going to talk to little UCLA in a minute.

Come on, enter the bet. It keeps just spinning and spinning and spinning. Either you want to take live bets or you don't. This is so ridiculous. Like, there, we're in at minus 13 1⁄2. I wanted 11 1⁄2. Under two touchdowns was really what I was looking for.

It's Live Bet Saturday, VSiN, the Sports Betting Network. I'm Dustin Swedelson. We have a fun one later today as UCLA and Cal do battle. You know, classic Big Ten ACC Showdown in Berkeley. The Bruins opened as a 1 1⁄2 point dog. They're now laying 2 1⁄2. Total is 53 1⁄2. That's because all of us are buying what Bob Chesney is cooking. To help us break it down, we're going to be joined now in the Progressive Guest Line. Ben Bolch, California Post, Senior College Sports Reporter, at CalPostBBolch on X. You can find him on social, and he joins us now on Live Bet Saturday. Ben, thanks for doing this, man. Talk to me. We're all in the betting world, all about Bob Chesney. What has been the early returns of covering someone like him, coming over from James Madison?

Ben Bolch (3:19)

Yeah, it's been a lot of excitement. I feel like he's really brought the same level of enthusiasm and really caught on immediately at UCLA with these guys. Everybody seems fully bought in for day one, and you could just feel the energetic vibe.

So really excited to see what it looks like tonight.

Dustin Swedelson (3:39)

Now, returning at quarterback is Niko Imaliava. You covered him last year where things were not going well, then all of a sudden the coaching change happened, and things went very well down the stretch with Jerry Newhaisel as his offensive coordinator. What version of Niko do you anticipate us seeing under Bob Chesney this season?

Ben Bolch (3:58)

Yeah, I think it'll be a much better version. I think it'll be a lot less mistake prone. The offensive line should be a lot better, the running game should be a lot better. I think he won't have to run as much, and that should make a big difference for both him and the offensive efficiency. It was one of the worst offenses in the country last year. I think it'll look a lot different starting tonight.
