This is VSiN, the SportsBetting Network. This is Live Bet Saturday on VSiN, the SportsBetting Network.

Brad Taylor (0:17)

Top of the hour here at Franklin, Kentucky, here at the Mid-Gaming Hall. As we are watching College Football on this Live Bet Saturday, I am Brad Taylor. Follow me on Twitter at BottomLineLex. And of course, alongside, as always, Will Hill. Follow him at not the Will Hill. Too easy in that the, and the Should Have Bet More podcast. But College Football is not the only thing going on right now. As crazy as it sounds, they're still playing Major League Baseball. And with that in mind, let's go to the Progressive Guest Line and introduce Angelo Magliocca. He is the MLB Analyst for SportsLine. You can find him on Twitter at MagsPix.

And Angelo, thank you so much for joining us today. How are you, sir?

Yeah, thanks, Brad.

Angelo Magliocca (1:02)

Thanks. Well, thanks for having me on. And I know MLB is kind of overshadowed by everything else going on today. You got so many hockey games and college football games, thinking about Survivor, who you're going to pick tomorrow. But yeah, we do still have some MLB going on. So it's going to be a fun one tonight.

Brad Taylor (1:20)

Now for those who are just listening on the radio or whatever, he is wearing an old school Cleveland Indians hat. I could say that right now, is Angelo. So I think you're giving us a little bit of a spoiler on what you think about the ALCS going on right now. But I'm going to ask you about the ALCS just as a big picture, big topic thing, because when I see that hat, I immediately think of Ricky Vaughn coming out of the bullpen.

Angelo Magliocca (1:48)

Yeah, one of my favorite logos, the Chief Wahoo logo.

I hate that we got rid of it, but that's a time, a different time, for a different story there. But yeah, it's tonight a pretty interesting game, pretty interesting series. I feel like it is going to kind of be back and forth and back and forth. But you did give Cleveland's bullpen a little bit extra time now, because they didn't have to play yesterday. And I think that might be a difference maker here. Tampa Bay's bullpen was coming in rocking yesterday. They were going to be all out blitz, had to get a win. They'll be the same mentality here, having everyone available and ready to go behind Nick Martinez. But it just does give Cleveland's bullpen a little bit more time to recover after they kind of use four or five guys there in the previous game. So I do lean Cleveland. But again, I got to say, this is a tough one to call. The whole series as a whole, regardless of who wins this, I think that whoever wins is going to be kind of fish food for the Brewers in the World Series.

Will Hill (2:49)

It's tough, Angelo, like you mentioned, it's tough to handicap these games because the pitchers, the starters, which if you're handicapping baseball, a lot of it's the starters, they come out so quickly and it's bullpen games. They mix and match. That being said, I think the winner of this game tonight probably wins the series. If it's 2-2, I think Tampa can get 2 out of 3 with 6 and 7 in home. Obviously, if it's 3-1 Cleveland, they get the advantage. Do you agree with that and who ultimately do you like to win the game tonight?

Angelo Magliocca (3:13)

Oh, absolutely. I completely agree.

I said a similar thing on my live stream that I do every Saturday. It was that whoever wins this game has to go on and win. This is the pivotal game right now because if Tampa goes down 3-1, I really think that is a tough ask for them to go out there and just go back to back to back, right? That's a really tough ask even for a good team like Tampa, who to be fair has not looked like that dominant good team that maybe we would have thought of them coming to this series. The way they handled the Yankees at least, it seemed like that was that way. So I have to at least kind of maybe pump the brakes a little bit on whoever wins this series is going to do well in the next series. I really think Milwaukee is a much stronger team than either of these teams. But if you're looking at who wins the ALCS and you want to make some bets there, this is the pivotal game. You got to win this game too too. I think Tampa then has a much more relaxed approach in that next game and probably does well for them. But down 3-1, you're going to be all sorts of anxious going into that game.
