All right, thanks for coming, everybody. Thanks for your patience. I know we're running 30 minutes late. I needed some extra time. Okay, so welcome to the Healthy GamerGG stream. And today is not going to be very entertaining because we're going to be talking about something that's terrible. And we're going to be talking about psychiatry, which is not terrible. Psychiatry is great. So, today we're going to be talking about the Lindsay Clancy.
Why are we talking about this today? A lot of people are curious. Yeah. So, we're going to be talking about this Lindsay Clancy trial. Now, this is what's really interesting. So, before, you know, we had this problem on Twitch and we got delayed, I just asked chat, hey, like, do you guys, like, you know, know what's going on? And what's really interesting is that half of chat was like, yeah, there's way too much of this stuff. Or like a third of people were like, yeah, I'm following it, but I really don't want to. It's flooding my feed. Another third of people were like, yeah, it's really interesting, really tragic, really sad. People are following it because it's important. And the other third is like, what is this? Who is this person? What's going on? OK, so just to give you all some background.
In Massachusetts, there is a woman named Lindsay Clancy, and she was a mother of three. And there is currently, she is on trial for the murder of her children.
And so part of her defense is that she was psychotic, and we'll explain what that means, and so therefore is not responsible for the death of her children.
So first thing is, and so today, we're going to like dive into this. And why am I talking about it? Because it's not just the trial. So we're going to start off by talking a little bit about the trial, going over some of the documents. But what's really interesting is like the internet phenomenon this has become. And the internet phenomenon this has become is getting like really weird. Like, so I want to just show you guys, like, stuff like this, right? So young, like so, so you're really breaking up with me over a fucking opinion. I'm not breaking up with you over an opinion. I'm breaking up with you because that opinion showed me a fundamental difference in our values. I can have compassion for someone struggling with men, struggling mentally without excusing what happened to those children. If I'm choosing someone to potentially be the mother of my kids, I need to trust their judgment completely, especially when it comes to protecting them. What you said created a doubt in me that I can't ignore or gamble my future children on. So like, this has gotten to the point where like, it's starting to impact all kinds of things. And this is something that even has crossed my plate. So two days ago, my wife was like, hey, I don't think you're taking this Lindsay Clancy thing seriously enough. And I was like, really surprised by that.
