If aliens have the ability to cure our diseases, which has been shown in countless UFO stories over the years, why don't they cure all of us?
Then we go toe to toe with the world of science to argue over whether or not cats can mimic human voices. And finally, we take a look at the story of a man on a nighttime drive with his dad. Little does he know, he's headed straight towards the world of the paranormal today on Dead Rabbit Radio.
I hope you guys are having tons of fun doing whatever you're doing, and I hope you guys have some awesome plans for the weekend. We got a lot of stuff to cover today. So first off, running into Dead Rabbit Radio Command. Everyone get on your feet and give it a poor friend of the show, Brian Blackwood. Woohoo! Yeah! Wee! Ha ha ha! Yeah, he's running on in. Running on in to Dead Rabbit Radio Command. I brought him up yesterday, yesterday's episode, but I actually owe him a shout out because he shared his Spotify rap. Wasn't that from December? Yes, of last year. Brian Blackwood shared his Spotify rap on his socials. Good reminder for you guys to do this year, getting the word out about the show. So if you guys can't support the show financially through the Patreon, the merch store or what's the other stuff we do, YouTube ad and membership, whatever. If you guys can't support the show with money, do what Brian did. Tell your friends, tell your family, tell everyone you know. Dead Rabbit Radio is your favorite paranormal show. That is how you can help the show grow. Also, I'll be seeing Brian Blackwood and his partner in literature and life. I think I don't know if they're married. They might just be boyfriend and girlfriend. But anyways, Michelle Morningstar, Brian Blackwood and Michelle Morningstar, they're both authors. I'll put links to their books. And then I mentioned yesterday, Blackwood also has a- it's not a perfume. Or no, I was calling it cologne. I think I think he prefers the word perfume. But I don't know. Anyways, it smells good. I said to you, yes, Jason, you said you used it to cover up your stink. No, but even if I'm not stinky, it smells really good. I'll put a link to his perfume in the show notes as well. We got a ton of stuff to cover today. Let's go ahead and get this party started. Brian Blackwood, I'm going to go ahead and toss you the hair hang glider. Everyone grab a hold of Brian's ankles as he jumps off the highest point of Dead Rabbit Radio Command and glides us all the way out to South Dakota.
And as we're going out there, I usually say Dead Rabbit Radio recommends for the middle of an episode, but I'm going to throw it in here because this episode might get shuffled around. We have three short stories. So I saw two movies recently and they're actually kind of interesting, compare and contrast. The first one, I do not recommend under any circumstances. And normally, I don't talk about movies I don't like. I'm only bringing this up because I know a lot of you guys have been looking forward to this. I just want to I was embarrassed. I was deeply embarrassed that this movie was made and that I not only was looking forward to it, but I was watching it and it was really bad. And so as a public service announcement, I'm sorry if any of the cast and crew worked on this movie. We all know Robert F. Kennedy Jr. listens to the podcast. And even though I never revealed any of the details of that, I'm pretty sure he does. VHS mixtape. It's part seven of an anthology that I've watched all of them. And it was really, really bad. I mean, it was embarrassing. I'm watching it and I go, I'm embarrassed to be a part of this. And listen, I had that feeling the first five minutes. I was like, uh-oh. It had one amazing short in it. It's an anthology, right? So a short horror movie. It's all usually found footage is the gimmick. The middle one directed by who I think is one of the most underrated horror movie directors out there, Ernest Dickinson. Ernest Dickinson. I brought him up before on the show. He directed one of my favorite movies of all time, probably right. It's in my top five, right underneath the four Transformer movies. So Ernest, you're in a good company. No, it's in my top five easily. It's not my number one, which is Transformers Dark of the Moon. But these are my favorite movies, the best movies I've ever seen. Ernest Dickinson, he's done a bunch of Walking Dead. He's done a bunch of great horror movies over the years, and he's done other stuff as well. He directed a short about a young man who hears mysterious music coming from the attic. I almost want to recommend you guys, it's free on, well, I think you have to subscribe to Shudder or whatever, but that middle part, that middle sequence is worth watching. The rest of it is horrible. Really, really bad. But it's a celebrated horror anthology. It can't get any worse. I mean, I guess that's one selling point, right? It can't get worse than VHS mixtape. But I watched another movie that was probably one-tenth the budget and one-one hundredth of the popularity. Almost no one will see this movie. It was fantastic. And it's called Blackout. It's about.
