As we're heading into a big holiday weekend, and feels like the weekend starting early last night over at Rock and Brews on a Monday night, Shinedown was playing. Just like, what? Shinedown at Rock and Brews? That little bitty place doesn't shine down. They play arenas, don't they?

Yeah, I've seen them a couple of times at really big places, Columbus Crews Stadium.

Well, it's crazy. They were working with this radio station called WRAF, and WRAF was looking for a venue, and what do you know?
Meltdown came over, did a Q&A with the Shinedown guys, and then they played, they were going to play five songs. I think they played at least eight, eight or nine, and they had 101 winners, and oh my God, they knew every word to every song.

They have some pretty serious fans, but it's great. Ken was there.

Yeah, I thought she was an engineer, and she did maybe part-time, but anyway, yeah. So anyway, the home of Rock and Roll went to the place where Rock and Roll eats last night, and everybody had a great time.

I'm not sure. Don't ask me. I communicate with him. By the way, Reefer Men, popular local band, everybody loves Reefer Men. They're at Rock and Brew's Thursday at eight o'clock.
The Jackie Daniels band, not to be confused with the Jack Daniels band, the Jackie Daniels band at Rock and Brew's on Friday, this Friday at eight thirty. And then The Reason You Came, 90s, 2000s cover band this Saturday night, eight thirty at Rock and Brew's in Royal Oak.

Looking forward to a big weekend over there and we had construction on Fifth Avenue. So it's been hard for Fifth Avenue and for us. We're right across from Fifth Avenue. Everybody knows where that is. And so it's been all torn up, but it's getting put back together and we're going to have a park.
And who knows, we might even have an outdoor liquor license to do some outdoor stuff there with Fifth Ave and it's really worked out great. Really has really cool. It was great to see. It was weird seeing the Riff logo all over.

It is in there, you're right. But there's no question the promotion department still plasters the logo all over the place.

No doubt about it. So anyway, Shinedown was just great.
