Josh Norris is a football content lead at Underdog Fantasy who previously did work at NBC Sports Rotowork. He's the co-host of the Underdog Football Show, he's a fellow JJ, he's got years of prospecting experience, and he once completely slayed the NFL Combine. These are his late-round perspectives.

This episode is sponsored by Underdog Fantasy. I know a lot of you guys already play over there, but if you don't, you definitely have to check out their best ball drafts. You draft a team, which is honestly the best part of fantasy football, and then that's it. There's no trading, no waiver wire, no lineup setting. Your roster is optimized each week based on player performance. I'm going to be doing a lot of content on best ball this season, so make sure you're signed up and ready to draft for when that content drops. Just head to underdogfantasy.com or download the Underdog Fantasy app. And when you sign up, make sure you use promo code LATEROUND to get a deposit match up to $100. That's promo code LATEROUND.

Now back to the show.

Josh Norris (1:10)

JJ, this is three years in the making.

JJ Zachariason (1:12)

It really is. Because we're now underdog bros together.

Josh Norris (1:16)

Yes.

JJ Zachariason (1:16)

Yeah.

Josh Norris (1:17)

Same shirt that we're wearing too.

JJ Zachariason (1:19)

We're matching in everything today.

I have my, I've realized that I've become like, not in the way that he is because he's brilliant or he was brilliant, but Steve Jobs, he would just wear the same outfit every day. Maybe I should say like Doug Funny. Maybe that's probably the better, more appropriate comp for me.

But I just wear a Dickie's tee every day. It's just an easy thing to just grab out of the closet and not have to think about what I look like. And I can just, I know that it fits me okay. I feel good about it. And then I move on.

Josh Norris (1:46)

Question, have you dabbled in the expensive t-shirt market that is like targeted to dudes on Instagram now of like the 40 plus dollar t-shirt?

JJ Zachariason (1:59)

I have not. I have not. I'm very one day.

Josh Norris (2:01)

I think you will JJ.

JJ Zachariason (2:02)

Yeah. Maybe someday I'll grow up and be and be an actual adult.

I just never I know I'm not someone who like really buys stuff often like even even the even the upgrade of like a $15 Dickie's T to like a four like it's not like that significant of a thing to like purchase, right? I just never been like a like like a big purchase for me is like a video game or something. You know, you know, I was like that my whole life. I saw you before you hopped on. You were tweeting about wave race.

Josh Norris (2:29)

Yeah. Yeah, to Nate.

Yeah, I'm sure we all because we're all in the same era, you know, where you actually had to go and pluck the ticket out of like the booth at Toys R Us and take it to the behind the checkouts, actually get the game, actually, you pay for it, you know. Or there's a line to even just try Pilot Wings or Mario 64 or any of these, you know, the glass cases. I mean, if you can rewind yourself back to that moment, was there any greater place in the world than Toys R Us? And was there anything else that you would rather want in the world than to go on one of those Nickelodeon shows and win the prize of you get five minutes to pluck whatever you want of the Toys R Us and fit it into your cart and that's what you got and you got to walk out the door?

JJ Zachariason (3:17)

Literally every 12 year old's dream. Yeah, everyone's dream. And then I also like I'm a very nostalgic person. I love like taking myself back, whether it's through music or whether it's through, you know, video, what have you. And I love thinking about going into a Toys R Us and knowing that you're going to like purchase a game, right? Like you like that feeling of anticipation of it. It's one of the most incredible feelings that anyone can do.

Josh Norris (3:42)

And you're going to read the manual and everything. Yeah, yeah.

JJ Zachariason (3:45)

You got the Nintendo power that you're going to that you're going to use with the game that you end up going. What was your favorite? Is Wave Race can't be your favorite?

Josh Norris (3:53)

No, no.

JJ Zachariason (3:54)

No.
