Right. I hate that. I've always done the cold open because I feel like every show just ends up going, hey, Alan, how are you today? Then you're like, good, how are you? Then it's just a minute and a half of that and no one needs to hear that part.

No one cares how you are. I produce a lot of the video stuff over at Rotowire and I tell these guys, no one cares about your golf trip until they care about it. Just get right to it. Shock.

Yes.

Yeah. I love that. But also just talking about how intros are bad in your intro is also elite level intro.

**JJ** (1:57)
This is like next level stuff right now. Yes. Yes. I always go back to, I don't know if you've ever seen that one video from Pete Overzit from like five or six years ago, maybe even longer, but it's him. His back is to the camera. Okay. There's this like pretty extreme rap going on in the background, like intro music because that's how fantasy football shows are.
They have this like really intense music, and then Overzit's slowly turning his chair around, and then he's staring at the camera, and he's got this really serious look, like this intense music is going on, and then all of a sudden he goes, welcome everybody to another episode.

It's almost like an SNL skit of a fantasy football open. But also, you do a gazillion podcasts. I know you like everybody, you're a friendly guy, but that chit chat in the beginning of the podcast, it's uncomfortable, unnecessary. Let's get to it, man.

**JJ** (2:53)
Yeah, I agree. That's what the Late-Round Podcast was built off of, was just get people the information they need. We have other shows in the feed now, like we do the Late-Round Show, where we have a little, but I think that, the other thing too is that I think that if your listener becomes aware that how things are structured, and then if they want to skip ahead, skip ahead.
It's fine. You know, like that's, that's a big, I think the bigger problem is when the expectations are not aligned with what the listener, you know, is expecting as they go into listening to a show of some sort, and then all of a sudden, you know, they're in the middle of like a really intense fantasy football conversation, and then they just start talking, you know, like you said about their golf trip or something.

Or like, you know, about like the basketball game that, you know, this video that we're making is like fantasy football related. It's supposed to be relevant to someone in six weeks from now. No one's going to care about the NBA big game that you just saw. I mean, it's good for the moment.

**JJ** (3:51)
Yeah.

So, yeah.

I mean, it was sweet. It was sweet. The finals, both finals, both the NBA and NHL finals were great in my opinion.

And now we're doing it. Now we're talking about something that no one's going to care about in six weeks from now.
