Oh no, I'm in the dark. I don't see my water in Darkest Night.
Hello, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome back to the final. Green Lanterns, or fuck it, this show isn't called Green Lanterns. Lanterns Season 1 review. This is the Season 1 finale. I am, as usual, the Clown Prince of Podcast. I can't think of anything else. I'm going with the classic OG, inspired by DC. I am back with the returning.
Taylor Field (0:29)
I am the Slim Fingers, Taylor Field. I got my Jon Stewart. You gave me this for his birthday. Oh, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_1 (0:36)
I got one, but not that exact same suit one time. We got one, a Jon Stewart one, but his is like a gray variant of the suit. I should have got mine out. Yeah, it's more like a black and gray, so I don't know what the idea was. Yeah, he's black and green for sure. Yeah, or no, sorry, yeah, green and gray. It wasn't just black and gray. No, he was gray and gray. Yeah, they took the green lamp. It's like the shows. It's inspired by the show. No green whatsoever. But yes, as you can hear, Taylor is back, thank goodness. The last two weeks, I've held it down. But here we are tonight to talk about Lanterns. It is over.
We've been here for about eight weeks now. So as usual, we're going to get right into spoilers in a second. So if you've not seen the finale, bow out, because I don't think there's too much to say non-spoilers at this point. I don't think you'd be listening if you were that far along.
There's how Jordan flying over there.
Taylor Field (1:20)
That's John Stewart taking his first flight.
SPEAKER_1 (1:22)
Hi, John. There's a new oath. But yeah, we're going to break down that. We got a big DC kind of month coming on, because you guys just did Clayface Predictions last week. You and Kirkland are weekly geeks, so check that out. We have this, obviously. We are going to be this week, Tim, very excited. Tune in to the episode. It will drop for public people the first of so, but then after, it's going to go on Patreon until a while. But we're going to be starting our review for the Batman, the animated series.
You know, we've done, you weren't a part of it, but we did Spider-Man, we've done X-Men, done Clone Wars. It's going to be another big animated retro, but this is arguably for the, in the nineties animated stuff was like the creme de la creme, like the Crown Jewel, the nineties stuff. And we're getting ready for Clayface, which we will be here for. And then the other thing most importantly, there's some other things we'll plug along the way, but the most important thing is November 7th, 9 a.m. PST. We're gonna be staying up for 24 hours straight, raising funds for BC Children's Hospital. We got a goal of $1,000. We got some very fun unlocks that we're probably gonna reveal in the next, well, not probably, we will be revealing in the next few weeks.
It's our 10th Extra Life, so we're gonna try and, we're doing multiple events from the past. I've tried to look at Extra Life from what we've done, be like, hey, what can we do here? What can we do there? Take from there, try and get as many guests as possible. Obviously, that's always tough, but it's gonna be a good time. We always try to go out, we try not just make a live stream, we try and make it a spectacle, and we're trying even more so for the 10th. We did a huge, I think, spectacle on what we can do for our GV 10 year. We're trying to do that for the Extra Life 10th event, because it's not the 10 year technically, but it's the 10th one, so it's a little bit different. But check out that. The link is now down below, so you can donate. If you wanna wait to the unlocks and stuff, I understand, but donate now, get us that goal. There's gonna be some fun stuff going on. All donations are tax deductible, Jesus! And they all go towards families and kids in needs. If you go to that link, it gives you the whole description of where the money goes, to what it does, what it provides. So we'd very much appreciate it. And join us that day. If you can't donate, share the link, like the video. That helps it. We've had this almost every year where people donate and we don't even know them. That's how we fucking met Film Junkie, because he saw what Scott was doing. Oh, they're doing a good thing. And then he donated and whatnot. So that's where, if you can't donate, just join us and push us in that algorithm, just like we're going to push through to this review. Taylor Field, obviously give a very brief elevator pitch of your thoughts of the last weeks, but then your thoughts on this finale. You can go full spoilers, just your overalls, but so your many thoughts. And then were you satisfied with this ending? Did you love it? Did you hate it? Were you in the middle?
