Hello, ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to the Lanterns Review Series Episode 7

Season 1, I guess we're still in Season 1 I usually am used to saying Season 2, whatever, but yes, Season 1, I think we're in Season 2, right? I think we will. Actually, I have no idea what to say.

Because, because, you know, what am I going to say?

You never know with everything. We got the mergers going on, guns contracts up, but I'd say from the numbers, from the reception, I think this will be Season 2, but who knows? Maybe next week will be the last Lanterns Review ever. I don't know. I hope not because somehow I'm still enjoying the show.

You know, someone's going to say I'm paid off or, you know, how can I watch this stuff? I'm sure at some point, but actually, no, we haven't. I think we've done a good job as far as like, not that we haven't, I mean, like we've gone those times and then we just ban or we like, don't really engage. Like I don't get that worked up about it. So you just kind of say one thing and then they kind of go away. I think when I see people in threads, like arguing back and forth at these points, it's just like, all right, you got to give it up. But we're here to talk about Episode 7 As you heard or as you can hear, there is no Taylor Field. It is just me alone. So if you have anything, like I've said before, you're the people, you're with me, you're my cohost for tonight. Not sure how long of episode this is going to be because I thought this was an interesting episode that I felt like had a lot of stuff, not much at the same time. I guess I should say I'm Travis Snow, the man gravity forgot, my nickname. Shout out to, we didn't get through the gimmick today because some things didn't happen, but if people don't listen to wrestling or watch wrestling, where that show then means nothing. But yeah, shout out to man, we lost Pac today and such a huge loss. This guy, if you're not a wrestling fan or if you used to be, watch some of the stuff that you like following up because this guy was built like a fucking brick shout out so he was in such good shape and the way he can move and flip. Yeah, we'll see how loud it's going to be because I won the Halloween lights, but then the mic's pointing that way. So hopefully not too bad. But Pac was, he was this huge guy, but the way he could move was effortless. It was effortless. Yeah, just effortless. He got a lot of crap, but still not enough crap for the stuff he could do for his size and how well he could do it. So yeah, I was definitely in a weird headspace because I dropped right as I started this episode. So maybe that was a bit to do with it too. But yeah, shout out, we're going to talk about that gimmick. We'll probably do a whole segment about Pac because he deserves it. That guy was fucking incredible and gone at 40, man. That's way too long. You don't want anyone to pass away, of course, but 40 years old, man. That's, man. He had a lot of careers still left and he literally just wrestled last night. Like a banger, I don't know, 15, 20 minute match, crazy. So yeah, shout out to Pac. Best wishes to, you know, best wishes. You know, I mean, my condolences to his family and friends and any fans. Like I said, next weekend, we're going to do the gimmick and me, David Aspos will definitely talk about him because he deserves it. So, but Lanterns, so this episode back to that. I thought there was a lot in this episode, but not a lot at the same time. I think the winning dynamic, if you are enjoying the show, if you're not, then I don't know why you're watching the penultimate episode, but if you're enjoying the show, I think what I'm getting at this episode is seeing more with Hal and Jon Stewart in a different light, right? Almost as if Hal would have been training him at the time where he would be ready to take on a trainee. Here's more hopeful, optimistic, maybe less, you know, less anti kind of everything other than just himself.

I have a loss of words here, I guess. But I guess Jane would be the best sense, because obviously it's 10 years after that, because I'm fucking blind. I thought for sure, I swear last week, because I guess it was dark, his hair looked like it had some gray or something. So I'm like, oh, we're getting the the 2000, like 26 Hal or 2016 Hal, right before he goes to prison, uploads himself or whatever, or somewhere around there, right? But no, it's still the first hologram that we got in that first episode. So it's like, okay, fuck me, I need to get my eyes checked. Even the previews I thought I saw was like, I think that's a Hal. I would have still preferred that a little bit, but then there was something fun of updating of, okay, this is what happened to you. I think that's, it's the tough thing, right? Because there is fun stuff of like, oh, I was in love. Oh, I did this and oh, fucking yeah, good job, trainee and Jordan, John Stewart gives us look of recognition. And he's like, oh, what's wrong? He's like, well, you never, you never complimented me once. You never said anything good about me. I did it at the same time, though. It felt like a lot of like catch. I almost think this and it's funny that people talked about this, right? Where Episode 5 felt like a finale to Season 1, Episode 6 could be like an Episode 1 of Season 2 This almost feels like with the young Hal Jordan stuff, this almost feels like a this almost feels like a a recap to Season 1 So it's like, oh, how do we recap people and not give them a bunch of exposition? Well, what do we have this character who is Hal, but not Hal, and we're going to update them on everything that's happened, right? Some of it does help because I feel like John did a good job and the scene with Carrie strengthening that relationship, but I didn't really need that. We kind of felt that they had a bond. We learned he went to prison, but like I think I'll have to wait and see, see how much more we get next week. Cause obviously we got, you know, and sorry, it's full spoilers. We got Sinestro next week. I'm sure we're gonna get a deep dive there.
