Welcome to Conan O'Brien Needs A Fan.
**Sona Movsesian** (1:53)
Hi.
**Conan O'Brien** (1:53)
How are you doing? Hey, how are you, Josh? I am fantastic.
I'm nervous. You shouldn't be nervous, Josh. We're just people. Well, David and Sona are just people.
But you shouldn't be nervous because it's two people and a living God. There it is. Right, right. So no pressure at all.
**Sona Movsesian** (2:14)
No pressure at all.
**Conan O'Brien** (2:15)
Just two regular folk for 30 years.
**Sona Movsesian** (2:18)
Oh, wow.
**Conan O'Brien** (2:20)
Well, Josh, so nice to chat with you.
You're coming to us from Liverpool, New York. I didn't know there was a Liverpool, New York. So that's upstate? There is, yeah. Yeah, upstate, Syracuse. Okay, very good. And you forge blades. Is that correct?
That's true. Yeah, I'm a professional bladesmith. You're a bladesmith. I didn't know it was called bladesmith. I love that.
**Sona Movsesian** (2:43)
Yeah.
**Conan O'Brien** (2:45)
I love a knife. I'm gonna tell you upfront right now, Josh. I do. I really do love a knife.
**Sona Movsesian** (2:50)
Yeah, he does.
**Conan O'Brien** (2:51)
I love a knife. I love it when I need to do something and there happens to be a knife in my pocket. You know what I mean? No, I don't know why everyone's laughing.
**Sona Movsesian** (2:59)
I'm not laughing, and I agree with you.
**Conan O'Brien** (3:02)
I'm really happy. That seems like the knife that really would suit you, actually. Well, you know, a little tiny, you know, a little pocket knife, like in a, maybe like in the nail clippers, you know, you flick out that thing in the nail clippers. He's not nervous anymore?
**Sona Movsesian** (3:16)
You're complimenting him. He just, he literally drove a knife through your heart.
**Conan O'Brien** (3:22)
Yeah. Hey, his finest blade is the one he just slipped between my fifth and sixth rib.
I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
**Sona Movsesian** (3:30)
I had your back.
**Conan O'Brien** (3:31)
Well, nicely done, Josh, I guess. I don't want to create an adversarial environment.
**Sona Movsesian** (3:39)
I love you. You don't? You don't? You don't?
**Conan O'Brien** (3:41)
No, I don't.
**SPEAKER_4** (3:42)
You don't?
**Conan O'Brien** (3:42)
No. That was a weird choice then.
**SPEAKER_4** (3:44)
I'll get on Conan's good side.
**Conan O'Brien** (3:46)
It was. Yeah. Okay, let's talk about, because I don't know anything about knives, really how they're made. And I wonder how you got into this. Tell us the origin story of Josh Frost up in Liverpool, New York. What happened? How did you start making blades?
Right, so I was working in middle management in sales.
**Sona Movsesian** (4:07)
And you wanted to kill someone.
**Conan O'Brien** (4:10)
But I mean, it was not that extreme, I think, but I just wanted a nice knife. And I found out that I did some research and I found out that really nice knives were between three and $10,000. Yeah, why is that? For a number of different reasons. It can be for the materials, it can be for the craftsmanship, the provenance of the knife, who made it.
