And now, let's get started.

The Knicks sign Igor Milicic Jr. The Knicks are finally making moves. I told everyone who would listen that announcements, they were going to come soon. And finally, it happened today. The Knicks just signed the 6'10 power forward to join this team for training camp. Shout out to Steph Bondi of the New York Post for giving us this following information. Igor Milicic Jr. has signed an exhibit 10 deal, also known as a training camp deal, with the Knicks, according to Polish outlet, Interia Sports. And this is what Basket Who had to say after the announcement. New York signed free agent forward Igor Milicic Jr. and they have agreed to an exhibit 10 contract. A member of the Polish national team, Milicic went undrafted in the 2025 draft after a well-traveled college career, having spent one year with Virginia, two at Charlotte, and one with Tennessee. The 6'10 forward, who's only 24 years old, signed an exhibit 10 deal with Philadelphia last year, and was waived ahead of the 2025-2026 campaign. He averaged 9.4 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 25.4 minutes per game, across 37 starts for Tennessee as a senior. And in 45 games with the Delaware Bluecoats, that's the Sixers affiliate club, last season he averaged 6.9 points per game, 5 rebounds, 0.9 assists, and 18.8 minutes per game, with the shooting line of 40%, 28%, and 76%.

Out of all the teams he could have chosen to sign with, he chose New York, and this is the reason why.

According to the report, part of the reason Milicic agreed to join The Knicks is because they had so many two-way openings. He also thinks it's a good developmental opportunity for his professional career. Not to mention, this is what he recently did in the World Cup Qualifier Games playing for Poland.

Milicic Jr. recently represented Poland in two World Cup Qualifier Games against Germany, posting 18 points and 8 rebounds, and against Israel, recording 13 points, 6 assists, and 4 steals.

This kid, Igor Milicic Jr. is 6'10. He is a power forward, but the way he moves up the court, you would think he's a regular wing. That's how fast he is. He has a high basketball IQ too, especially after playing overseas under his father. He's also a great rotational rim protector when he's playing on the floor. He can also create space very well to get other players involved. That's why when it comes down to it, he can pass well and he can stay in front of defenders. The only thing that I have to critique about him really is some other aspects of his defense. He's very quick to jump the fakes, and when he does that, he's a liability defensively. He also can't move his feet fast enough, and most times, he leaves his defender when he's taking a shot to try to go back to the rim to get the rebound. Why? Because you guessed it, rebounding is a very good skill for this kid, and New York bringing him along, that tells you exactly what they're looking for. Somebody with size, who can run fast, guard multiple positions, but also rebound well. These are the type of players New York is looking for right now, especially as we get closer to training camp. Let's roll some highlights so you can see exactly what this kid can do.

Once again, this kid is 6'10, 225 pounds. He's 24 years old. Some of the things he does very well include the following. He's a transition threat. He can gallop down the court faster than most opposing big men, making him an excellent lane filler or ball handler in the fast break. Like I said before, he has a high basketball IQ. He can pass the ball very well, especially in the open court. His court vision is very good, and he has offensive versatility, and he has great off-ball movement. He can also attack closeouts very well. Unlike traditional bigs, he can comfortably put the ball on the floor, execute a shot fake, and drive into the teeth of the defense. He can also cut very well. He has great timing on backdoor cuts, frequently utilizing hesitations along the baseline to generate high percentage looks at the rim. The main issues for him have to do on the defensive end. One of the issues that he has is his perimeter lateral speed. While he is agile for a big man, and possesses average lateral quickness when isolated on the perimeter, other elite NBA guards, they can expose him on the pick and roll by blowing past him. He also lacks post-physical strength. When he's inside, it's hard for him to hold his ground defensively, making it easier for people to score on him. And then his closeout discipline, like I was speaking about beforehand. When he sees somebody about to attempt a shot, even if it's a fake, he's gonna jump to it. And when he does that, he's gonna leave that player open so they can nail a shot, or if he's guarding somebody else, but sees a player close to him about to hit a shot, he's gonna try to stop that. But when he does that, he leaves his defender, which is creating a defensive liability, because other teams will expose that. Attack.
