And now, let's get started.
Knicks get good news. But, the first dose of good news has to do with Jalen Brunson. He recently spoke about next season, and how confident he is about winning back-to-back chips. Take a look at what he had to say.
Oh, and don't mind this slide. That's just me taking a photo with the captain, Jalen Brunson, when I was recently out at a Knicks community event. Either way, this is what Brunson had to say on the team and what it takes to run it back-to-back. According to him, Oh, I still have confidence. I will always have confidence in myself and my team. Not because we won, because I know the type of character of guys that we have. I know how hard my team works. I know how hard I work. I know what our mindset is. Our mindset is just to get better every single day. So even though yes, we did win this past year, going forward, that literally means nothing.
Oh, but he wasn't done there. He had more to say when he was asked the same question at Fanatics Fest this past weekend. This is what he had to say there.
According to Brunson, I know one and two are going to be good. He's talking about Karl-Anthony Towns and himself. I have the utmost confidence in us night in and night out just because of the way we've been able to work through these last couple of years. If we have that same, if not better work ethic and mindset, obviously, I like our chances. But we gotta quickly turn the page and forget about Mr. Larry O'Brien Trophy over there. At some point, not now though, not now.
But the good news doesn't stop there. The other dose of good news has to also deal with Jalen Brunson, only this time, he's talking about that wrist injury and surgery, and potentially, what it means for him returning to the court. Take a look at what he had to say.
In a Variety Magazine interview, Jalen Brunson revealed the following about his wrist injury. According to him, I was more in pain when I wasn't in the game versus when we were actually playing. I feel like the adrenaline took over. But yeah, it was definitely an obstacle. But we found a way through. Because it's like my tendon and my structure. My wrist is fine. There was a soft tissue issue that was holding my tendon, and it kept flipping and snapping over the bone every time I shot, every time I flicked my wrist. And so clearly, it was causing pain, causing friction. I'll be in this cast, which you see clearly there, on the right side of this image, showing Jalen Brunson with Karl-Anthony Towns and Roman Reigns, look at his wrist. He has that blue and black cast on it. He's gonna be in that cast for about another six weeks. Then from that point on, it's just rehab after that. But I should be good. I should be good.
But now we get to the not-so-great news. And this part, it involves Jordan Clarkson. Take a look at exactly what happened recently.
According to The New York Post, this weekend, news broke of Knicks guard Jordan Clarkson's involvement in an altercation at a New York City club. According to reports, this altercation involved hip hop star Travis Scott. You can see on the right side of this image, the police surrounding Jordan Clarkson and pulling him away. It looks like they're detaining him and removing him from the situation. As per TMZ, Clarkson and Scott were both at the Zero Bond Private Membership Club on Saturday. Allegedly, a man started filming Scott while chatting with another attendee inside of the New York City hotspot. The rapper was said to confront this man, and in the ensuing situation, Scott's entourage reportedly started throwing bottles. Clarkson would then step in to de-escalate the situation. But you know what's even better than hearing about this situation? Watching it happen in real time. Roll the video footage.
