The Knicks receive good news. The good news just keeps rolling in for the Knicks. And this first piece of good news has to deal with Karl-Anthony Towns. According to new reports, he wants to be a Nick for life.
Shout out to Sleeper Knicks and Vincent Goodwill of ESPN for giving us this following information. According to ESPN, go back to during the season when Karl-Anthony Towns wanted an extension from the Knicks. The Knicks did not offer him one. He was disappointed. But he says he wants to be a Nick for life. These are the things that handle themselves in the off season. As long as I handle myself on the floor. The Knicks won a championship. Karl-Anthony Towns was a hub. He's expecting some resolution to that soon.
While Karl-Anthony Towns was disappointed that he did not get an extension with the Knicks earlier on. He just said what we all needed to hear. He wants to be a Nick for life. And if he really wants that, then New York will need him to sacrifice so he can be that Nick player for life. And I believe after this statement from Karl-Anthony Towns, he will take less in his extension with New York. And that's gonna set up the Knicks to make the moves they need to make to keep this core together for multiple years. That means they have a chance to win multiple championships. That's what Leon Rose wants, and clearly, that's what Karl-Anthony Towns wants. But you know who else wants that? James Dolan. And our next piece of good news has to deal with the Knicks owner. He had the following to say recently.
According to James Dolan, he said the following about the Knicks preparing to defend their title.
We're gonna have the most fun season we've ever had in my ownership. Teams coming back pretty much intact. You know who they are now. You're gonna be with them every dribble, basket, free throw. Diawara missed a large chunk of summer league due to that injury. We were all a little bit concerned. Not extremely worried, but concerned about that injury. Thankfully now, we know it was a fracture. He got an operation on that fracture. It's fixed. He's well. And he's back on the court. And it's likely come training camp, he'll be 100% healthy and ready to go. Especially during this season, where we all know he's gonna have a new, increased role. And I can't wait to see what he does with that new opportunity. But we're not done yet, ladies and gentlemen. We have even more good news to discuss.
