The Knicks just got even more good news. They just acquired three more players and are looking to get even more assets in another trade they're about to make. We're going to break down all of these latest reports today.

The Knicks get good news. The Knicks continue to get good news after making a major trade on draft night. That trade now turned into a four-team trade. And we have the full details. Let's take a look. Here's the full transactions. New York conveys to the Lakers. Draft writes to Cameron Carr, the number 24th pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. The Lakers convey the following to Dallas. The Draft writes to Sergio DeLaria, the 25th pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. Dallas then conveys to the Phoenix Suns the following. The Draft writes to Keough Peet, the 30th pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. And then the Phoenix Suns conveys the following to The Knicks. The 2026 second round pick. That's pick number 47

And a second round pick in 2033 And then Dallas conveys the following to The Knicks. A 2030 second round pick. And a 2032 second round pick. They also convey the Draft writes to Melvin Ajinca. The 51st pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. And then the Lakers convey the following to The Knicks as well. Draft writes to Lewis Lobiery. The 57th pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. And then Draft writes to Chini Miliu, Elinu, the 59th pick in the 2009 NBA Draft. And this is the full transaction list from the major trade that happened last night between The Knicks and now three teams.
And yes, you heard me correctly. New York, after this trade, acquires the draft rights to three additional players. These are the following players once again. Shout out to Fred Katz for giving us this information. They acquire the draft rights to three international players in their four-team trade on Tuesday night, including the rights of Lewis, Melvin, and Chini Miliu. And Brock Aller again is doing his draft right bits. What do I mean by that? Well, it's a running joke right now with The Knicks acquiring draft right to players that will never play in the NBA. And two of the players they got last night will never come to the NBA. Take a look at this. New York actually got these guys' draft rights last night. Chini Miliu is 39 years old. And Lewis is 34 years old. These guys are never coming to the NBA. They are going to stay international players for their entire careers.
But what's crazy is New York getting Melvin Ajinca's rights. This is a full circle moment for that man. If anybody forgot, New York, they actually drafted this kid back in 2024
Check this out. Ajinca was originally selected 51st overall in the 2024 NBA draft by the New York Knicks. They traded those rights to the Dallas Mavericks. In that same draft, they were able to get Ariel Huckporty. And now, New York gets those rights back. And if you've forgotten, here's who Melvin is and what his draft profile is. He's 21 years old as of right now. He's 6 foot 8, 200 and around 20 pounds. He has a 6 foot 7 wingspan. He's a 3ND player and he's a lefty wing prospect. Once again, he has a strong frame, a competitive motor, and he projects as a reliable floor spacing rotation piece if he can stabilize his perimeter consistency.
Out of all the players that they acquired draft rights for during last night's trade, Melvin writes, it's the most promising. Remember, he's a draft and stash right now, but he can come back to the NBA anytime that he wants. He's young, he's athletic, he's a 3ND prospect, he's 6 foot 8, he still needs to work on his game, but he's only 21 years old, so he can continue to work on his game and get better. Out of any of these players, he still has a chance to make the NBA, but that's not the only good news. There's even more. New York, they're still planning to get even more assets after making that trade last night. Remember, they have pick number 31 in tonight's 2nd round of the NBA Draft, and according to Sham Sharania, multiple teams around the league are ready to trade for that pick with the Knicks and give them a ton of future assets.
