We haven't gotten to talk about it. Well, I hadn't emailed Rafe this morning. Super sad.

**SPEAKER_3** (0:08)
After making fun of the Irish for 20 minutes.

**SPEAKER_1** (0:10)
Wes is one of those dudes that's had a heck of a career, and yet his favorite thing to do is just be good to go to local pubs in different places. He lived in Small Town, Ireland. Bring us your Lely. And he would just bring his guitar and just jam. And that's exactly what he was doing the hour before his motorcycle crash.

**SPEAKER_3** (0:25)
That's a bad one.
Hey, speaking of guitars, so this 61 year old guy in Kyoto, Japan. Have you been to Kyoto?

**SPEAKER_1** (0:32)
No, it's one of the few places I haven't been.

**SPEAKER_3** (0:34)
I hear it's beautiful.

**SPEAKER_1** (0:35)
Yeah, I got a couple of friends over there. They're always like, next time you get, you just set aside a couple of days. We need to go over to the mountains. They're always wanting to do other things in the mountains.

**SPEAKER_3** (0:42)
I was talking to my daughter the other day. I said, hey, because because my buddy and his daughter are going to be in Paris at the same time as us. And we're going to meet up and it's a, it's him and it's just him and his daughter. And they're doing like a father daughter trip.

**SPEAKER_2** (0:55)
Nice.

**SPEAKER_1** (0:55)
Wow. To, to Paris.

**SPEAKER_3** (0:57)
Oh, no, they're going to be in Paris at the same time as us. So I'm like, wouldn't it be fun if we met up in Paris, even though we can meet up here anytime?

**SPEAKER_2** (1:05)
Anyway, that is fun to do. If you forget the opportunity.

**SPEAKER_3** (1:07)
It is fun.

**SPEAKER_1** (1:08)
Do it at a grave site.

**SPEAKER_3** (1:10)
So I said, I said to my daughter, I go, hey, you know, if we do like a father daughter trip, maybe, you know, maybe before the year before you go to college, where would you want to go? She said, Japan.

**SPEAKER_1** (1:22)
Yeah.

**SPEAKER_3** (1:22)
Cool. Done. Father daughter. My wife's like, hell no.

**SPEAKER_2** (1:26)
Why?

**SPEAKER_3** (1:26)
She wants to go to Japan too.

**SPEAKER_2** (1:27)
Yeah, dude. She's no fool.

**SPEAKER_3** (1:29)
You're not invited.

**SPEAKER_2** (1:30)
Somewhere else.

**SPEAKER_3** (1:32)
This is father daughter.

**SPEAKER_2** (1:34)
Yeah.

**SPEAKER_3** (1:37)
Not father daughter mother.

**SPEAKER_2** (1:38)
What about mother son? Hit the bricks. Where would Sam want to go?

**SPEAKER_3** (1:43)
He doesn't want to go anywhere. So anyway, the 61-year-old guy will call him a guitarist in Kyoto.
He's been arrested and has had all his gear confiscated for, I want to say allegedly, allegedly for seven straight years, annoying his neighbors with his guitar playing. So according to news outlets, he's a hero. This guy faces assault charges following years of complaints regarding his round-the-clock guitar playing. Authorities stepped in after an official investigation recorded neighborhood noise levels exceeding 80 decibels. So this guy, which is roughly the equivalent of a blender, a handsaw or heavy traffic running continuously outside of a house.

**SPEAKER_1** (2:33)
I'm so curious, did any of the information or the ticket or the warrant say what he was playing?

**SPEAKER_3** (2:41)
So this guy repeatedly ignored multiple official warnings, continued to crank up his amplifiers and stereo equipment day and night.
He would even aim his speakers outside the window. This guy was just a dick. This guy was just a big jerk.

**SPEAKER_1** (2:58)
It depends on what he was playing.

**SPEAKER_4** (3:01)
There's all the doors cover, right? And then it's cool.

**SPEAKER_3** (3:05)
He would be blasting audio around the clock. And the long term noise took a heavy physical toll on neighbors.
Three neighbors in their 60s and 80s suffered from chronic sleep deprivation and severe insomnia.

**SPEAKER_1** (3:19)
Oh my gosh.

**SPEAKER_3** (3:20)
A fourth neighbor reportedly developed tinnitus directly as a result of the constant racket. By the way, I love when noise is referred to as a racket.

**SPEAKER_1** (3:30)
That is very old-match.
Who's making that racket over there? Have you ever had a neighbor who was in a band?

**SPEAKER_3** (3:36)
Yes.

**SPEAKER_1** (3:37)
Crossed through when I lived in South City. It's cool, right? I mean, I've always thought it was cool.

**SPEAKER_3** (3:40)
He was a terrible guitar player. Terrible. Terrible.

**SPEAKER_2** (3:43)
I had a neighbor who was a drummer. So we would hear him drumming in his basement.

**SPEAKER_4** (3:48)
Yeah, there was a house that used to live about two houses down on the backside of us that had band practice, but it was always in the afternoon.
