Hi, everyone. Welcome back to a new episode of Love All. Blair, really good to see you again. I feel like, again, it's been a few weeks since the US opened, but I got spoiled there and now we're back into the distance recordings and so, but yeah, good to see you on the little screen here again.
Blair Henley (1:24)
I know our long distance relationship, Kim. I liked our in-person relationship, but absence makes the heart grow fonder. I feel like you've been crazy busy. We've even cut down on our 12-minute voice notes to each other because you've had so much happening.
Kim Clijsters (1:40)
I don't know. I feel like I'm back into full-time mom mode. It's been all the hobbies have started for the boys. Jada is back from her boarding school where she was at last year, so she's back at home and wants these certain meals to be made. I don't feel like I'm constantly either in the kitchen cooking meals for her, for the family, driving back and forth. It's been a lot, but I like it. It's fun.
We had a good weekend up in Philly. We spent a couple of nights there with the boys, all for basketball.
By the end, I think on Saturday, they each had two games and I watched four hours of basketball. By the time I left the gym, I was hearing whistles in my ears and parents yelling. It gets a little bit too much and I forgot my earplugs, so not good, but lesson learned. What about you? I was there all weekend.
SPEAKER_1 (2:32)
I'm obsessed about you.
Blair Henley (2:33)
I'm just imagining you in a gym, watching your kids play with earplugs in.
SPEAKER_1 (2:40)
Is that a common thing? I don't know.
Kim Clijsters (2:42)
Maybe I'm used to tennis and being so quiet all the time, more silent.
It just gets really loud. I don't know if it's my age or I don't know that I can't really handle it, but people are just yelling and yelling at the refs and yelling at their own kids. It stresses me out. It does. It stresses me out. I think basketball is such a high-intensity sport with the physical stuff and the pushing. People get very round up into it all. And yeah, so I need to kind of stay calm. And I have my book. And once in a while, I'll read during timeouts and just to kind of take my mind off what's happening out there. But I do support.
Blair Henley (3:30)
You're like Machine Gun Kelly at the US Open, who is sitting in the stands with headphones reading a book.
Kim Clijsters (3:37)
Really? Oh, I didn't see that. That's Kim Clijsters at her children's basketball game. Only during timeouts, though. That's when I'm waiting.
Blair Henley (3:45)
Listen, today has started off with a Machine Gun Kelly, Kim Clijsters comparison, which it's all downhill from here folks.
Kim Clijsters (3:52)
Never expected that, Blair.
Blair Henley (3:55)
Well, I love that you've been getting back into all the activities as have I. I still don't feel like I have a handle on my children's schedule, but we're trying. I'm also trying to get some of my fitness level back after turning into a squish pillow during the US Open.
Kim Clijsters (4:12)
Listen, I hear you. That's the one thing that I need to still focus on more, is to get back into my normal routine, and of playing tennis more, and working out, and because it's been all kind of mom mode these last couple of weeks. So that's, yeah.
Blair Henley (4:29)
Well, I've decided, Kim, that I'm going to make a adjustment on my backhand. Having, it's so funny, I did not watch much of myself at all for most of my career on camera. And in the second half of my life, in my life as a quote unquote content creator, I have seen more of myself playing tennis on camera than I probably ever would have cared to.
