The Knicks finally won in New York's final preseason game against the Raptors. The Knicks were able to walk away with the victory. And if you were concerned about how the Knicks were playing during preseason, last night's game eased all of your concerns. Karl-Anthony Towns went off. He was on triple double watch. Andre Drummond proved to everyone why the Knicks were right in signing him. Jalen Brunson looked in regular season form. New York was moving the ball, hitting shots, playing great defense, hitting the three. Miles McBride contributed. Landry Shamit contributed. This is everything I wanted to see before New York started the regular season. What an unbelievable game and an unbelievable win. We're going to break down all of these latest reports today.

The Knicks ease concerns with impactful win. I know it's only preseason, but man does it feel good to win. But it wasn't just that the Knicks beat the Raptors last night. It's how they won, how they played as a team. Like head coach Mike Brown said for days, even last night before the game, last night's game was a dress rehearsal for the regular season. That means the starters in the bench unit were going to play close to regular season minutes. And we saw that. But it's how the Knicks were winning that game. The defense, they finally were playing defense the right way. They were moving the right way, getting to their spots the right way, double teaming the right way, recovering the right way, and rotating the right way. These were all the concerns we have with the Knicks going into those first couple of preseason games. But last night's game, it eased all of those concerns. I'm not worried about New York defensively. They are going to be good. But offensively, I wanted to see what this Knicks team could do. And we saw it on full display.
That flex action with Karl-Anthony Towns, him being the offensive hub for New York, it worked during the postseason. And guess what, guys? It worked during the preseason, and it will work during the regular season. If last night was a dress rehearsal for the regular season, then that means the offense that we saw, we're going to see it during the regular season. And if we do, New York is about to dominate teams. Karl-Anthony Towns was on a mission, and he showed everybody why we shouldn't be worried. That flex action, it can work. And it can work with any player cutting inside, trying to get to the basket. It worked with Landry Shamett, it worked with Jalen Brunson, it worked with OGN and OB, it worked with Mikael Bridges. I mean, it even worked for Pacone Dottier. If it's working for all of these players, New York has nothing to worry about. Karl-Anthony Towns was phenomenal. Andre Drummond off the bench, phenomenal. He's all of my concerns. If I was worried about Drummond going into the season, I'm no longer worried about him. Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns, their two man game, it looks as good as ever. They were playing great basketball together, playing off of each other, making the game easier for each other. And then the bench unit, Deuce McBride hitting back to back to back threes, Landry Shammet hitting threes, everybody on the floor moving the right way, getting to their spots with speed, with the right pace, going up and down the floor quickly, making sure on defense, they're in front of their man. So that way they're not getting cut off easily. That means easy baskets to the rim. That wasn't there for New York. They upped the defense. They played great offensively. This team proved to everybody that come the regular season, not only are they going to be ready, but they are going to dominate teams in every single way. I love this game last night. My favorite game of the preseason by far. And they walked away with the W. How can you not love that? New York won this game against the Raptors, 122 to 120 The score would likely have been a lot higher if New York didn't take out the starters at about the five-minute mark in the fourth quarter. But either way, walking away with the W feels good.
