It's been one hell of a week. It's been crazy.

It has to be the craziest week of your life, right?

Or up to it. I mean, this is pretty up there. It's been some crazy weeks.

So to me through this, when did you get the offer for the fight? How long now?

Sean Sharaf (0:36)

So they had mentioned possibly me fighting him on the White House. They asked me. That was the alley he had reached out to me. He's like, hey, they're talking about possibly getting you on the White House. They know you're a Marine and whatnot.

They want Gable Stevenson. And I was like, fucking, I don't care. I've been watching Gable since he was coming up on the regional scene, because you were talking about him and everyone was all hyped about him. So I kind of already knew we were going to cross paths. But it wasn't until I was requesting to get on the LA card. I heard they were coming to LA and I kept saying, hey, I want LA, I want LA. And it's like, all right, you got LA. You're fighting Gable.

So there was a conversation about the White House card. So this is June. That's when it first came up. And so how did it wind up taking place in September?

Sean Sharaf (1:18)

I just never heard back. They talked about it. They're like, would you take it? And I was like, sure. And I think I think maybe they were trying to get Jones on there too, possibly. Do you think that might have been what it was?

Joe Rogan (1:26)

I think Dana was hesitant to get John on there.

Sean Sharaf (1:30)

Yeah. And so I think it was like a if I'm not going and maybe Gabe was like, I don't know what it was, but that was the first time I was approached like, hey, would you be open to fighting on the White House? And I was like, of course.

Joe Rogan (1:42)

And so how long out did they tell you about the LA card?

Sean Sharaf (1:45)

About six weeks. But I had already been in camp because I was supposed to fight Tai Tui Vasa and I had to pull out because my nose got broken in that camp. So I was basing in the camp for the Tai fight. And then I went straight into that, into the next camp as soon as I got cleared to start sparring and stuff. But I was still training the whole time. I was running.

I went full fucking, I retained my seed. I was fucking. Did you really? Yeah, bro. I went full eight weeks. No, no, no jerking out, no sex, no nothing. I went full like Marine mode. That's why you guys saw that that Matt on the ground in the studio was because I was like, I was like really fucking going to. I ended up getting air mattress after I texted Strickland because he's like, yeah. And you were sleeping on a mat. Yeah. Tell people about that. Well, basically because I have, obviously all my finances are out there already. I didn't have anything in my name, so I've been bouncing around from fighter houses. There's Fighter House LV. They started out and it's like 40 bucks a room you get. And I was also staying in the casinos, gambling, doing a bunch of dumb shit. And stayed in my car a few times, bouncing back and forth with my mom. It was just a little bit of a chaotic situation. And I got a spot. I got a front from my management. They gave me four grand because I was basically was in California, and I stayed out there with my mom, and I had to come back out here for the camp. And I was like, hey, I need funds. Can you guys give me? And they fronted me four grand on my purse. And they said, hey, get whatever you want. I mean, they weren't very involved, if I'm being honest. I had to figure it out on my own.

And yeah, I had a friend, he got me a sublease, got me in that spot. And I just fucking.

Well, it's such a crazy, rocky story.
