I gotta give you one little basketball note before I get back to your calls. It's interesting to me. Many of you know that Josh Hart has had a finger problem in the last year and a half or so while playing for the New York Knicks, and he wears a little wrap around one of his fingers. He put out a post today, because a lot of people are asking, is your hand back to being 100%?

Is the joint in your finger better? Obviously, I haven't played basketball the entire off season. And I didn't realize this, but Josh Hart put out this. So I don't have to answer this question anymore. There is no other surgery for me to get besides a joint replacement in the finger. If I get the replacement surgery, my NBA career ends that day. I cannot play with it. So for the rest of my career, I will have that finger wrapped, because I cannot get the surgery. It effectively ends my career.

That is crazy.

Chris McMonigle (0:57)

It doesn't make any sense to me.

SPEAKER_3 (0:58)

That is out of his Twitter account.

Chris McMonigle (1:00)

I am sure it is a fact, but how could whatever they do to your finger, make you never be able to play basketball again?

Craig Carton (1:08)

Well, it is a shooting hand.

Chris McMonigle (1:10)

I get it.

Craig Carton (1:11)

It is a really good question, but that is crazy. I think it is his ring finger on his right hand.

Chris McMonigle (1:20)

I would think if you had the finger amputated, you could play basketball.

Craig Carton (1:24)

Yeah, but you couldn't shoot.

Chris McMonigle (1:26)

You don't think so?

Craig Carton (1:26)

Like you play basketball, put your ring finger down as best you can.

Chris McMonigle (1:29)

Well, I mean, yeah.

SPEAKER_3 (1:30)

And not pretend like you're holding the basketball.

Chris McMonigle (1:32)

Yeah, but my thumb is in. My finger is on the, like if I just had no finger there, I'd feel like I'd be able to eventually feel a grip where I could shoot.

Craig Carton (1:38)

I don't know. So I try to put it out there. So if you notice, Josh Hart, he's going to wear a wrap the entire season, not because he has a new injury, but he cannot get the surgery without ending his career. That's crazy.

Chris McMonigle (1:52)

That is crazy.

Craig Carton (1:53)

That's also the Knicks' spirit, though.

Chris McMonigle (1:55)

No, he's going to play through it.

Craig Carton (1:56)

I'll put my surgery off because I'm playing through it because I'm trying to defend a championship.

Chris McMonigle (2:00)

Damn right.

Craig Carton (2:01)

That's exactly right. I like that.

Chris McMonigle (2:04)

He's got a significant amount of time left in his career, not just this coming year.

Craig Carton (2:07)

Oh, you think he's got another five or six, seven years to go in his career. Hopefully all those years with the Knicks.

SPEAKER_3 (2:13)

Winning championships.

Craig Carton (2:14)

That's exactly right.

SPEAKER_3 (2:15)

That'd be nice.

Craig Carton (2:15)

His second championship this year. Anyhow, let's get back to your calls.

SPEAKER_3 (2:17)

Another dynasty in this town would be nice.

Craig Carton (2:19)

After last night's big Yankee win, remember, we said or I set the over-under on runs scored in this series at 10

Chris McMonigle (2:26)

And I said over.

Craig Carton (2:27)

You said over.

Chris McMonigle (2:29)

If they're under, we're in trouble.

SPEAKER_3 (2:30)

Yeah, if it's under, they lose, by the way. I understand that.

Craig Carton (2:34)

Yeah, it better be over by a lot.

Chris McMonigle (2:36)

I guess 10 is a push. They could win one nothing tonight.

Craig Carton (2:38)

So now, I want to get a lot of reaction to last night. When the Yankee lineup comes out, we'll start dealing with tonight's game once we have a little bit better understanding of who's in the lineup and who's not. I'm gonna give you a little test, though, before anything, okay?

Chris McMonigle (2:50)

I love tests.

SPEAKER_3 (2:51)

Abba Kadabba, all the way down.

Craig Carton (2:53)

All I want to know from you are three obvious questions.

Right field, second base, third base. I want you to tell me, I want you to predict, going up against Sonny Gray, and then when it gets released, we'll come back to it, okay?

SPEAKER_3 (3:07)

Okay.

Craig Carton (3:07)

Starting right field, who is tonight's whom?

Chris McMonigle (3:10)

Spencer Jones.

Craig Carton (3:11)

Jones. Okay. Starting second baseman tonight.

SPEAKER_3 (3:14)

Jazz Chisholm.

Craig Carton (3:15)

Jazz. Starting third baseman tonight.
