This is the DNVR Broncos Podcast, live from the Xfinity Studio, where I'm here with Ray. Because Ryan is in Georgia.
**Andre Simone** (0:11)
Yeah, Georgia on his mind.
**Henry Chisholm** (0:13)
What do we call Georgia?
**Andre Simone** (0:16)
The peach thing.
**Henry Chisholm** (0:17)
Okay, I was just wondering where you're going to go. I just wanted to open the door for you.
**Andre Simone** (0:20)
I more have nicknames for Hotlanta, you know.
**Henry Chisholm** (0:23)
Ah, there we go.
**Andre Simone** (0:24)
ATL, Hotlanta, those are mostly it. And I have not come up with those yet.
**Henry Chisholm** (0:29)
So we called them after they lost. But let's not waste any more time on this. Let's go to the Xfinity Mobile call in line where our guy Zac Stevens is waiting for us.
**Andre Simone** (0:40)
Let's go, boys.
**Zac Stevens** (0:42)
Let's go.
**SPEAKER_4** (0:43)
How are we doing, fellas?
**Zac Stevens** (0:44)
Jay, I want to know your nickname for me if you've got nicknames for everything.
**Andre Simone** (0:49)
Yeah, I mean, I call you Z often, right? That's the go to Stevenator.
Yeah, the Stevenator is a good one.
**Zac Stevens** (0:56)
Do you like that one?
**Andre Simone** (0:57)
The Zacmeister, you know, Zac Attack. You know, these are classics you've heard over the years. I really this is really inside baseball. My favorite nickname, and it's not really a nickname, but you got to say it at the right pitch is Zac Stevens. And you say it with a high pitch, because once we were at the senior bowl and this guy was like basically like following Zac everywhere. He was a listener, he was like blogging and, you know, shout out to that guy, obviously, but that always rings in my head. Like just us being somewhere in here, Zac Stevens and be like, oh, not again.
**Zac Stevens** (1:34)
I love it. I love it, man. Dre, you bring up the senior bowl and it makes me think of the south. I mean, you guys were already talking about Georgia, but it makes me think of Sean Payton's time in New Orleans. Of course, I think of Taysom Hill and I have a non-update update on Taysom Hill. Do you guys want it?
**Henry Chisholm** (1:51)
I would love that.
**Zac Stevens** (1:54)
So this non-update update, I think the update itself isn't interesting, but I think the non-update is not interesting, but I think what it means as an update is interesting. So of course, we know that Sean Payton said he was going to talk to Taysom Hill down at Drew Brees' induction into the Hall of Fame, which was a couple of weeks ago. So we know that that was the plan going in, but then we didn't hear anything about it after. So shout out to our guy, Crystal Mason, Chris Thomason, who asked Sean today, well, did you talk to Taysom?
Did you have an update? And Sean said, no updates, nothing. I will let you know if we had anything. I talked to him at the Hall of Fame, but it was really just with a group of people, but nothing new there. So that's the non-update, but I think that actually is an update in itself. And hear me out. You guys can tell me if I'm taking crazy pills or if I'm on to something here. I think really the only things that we could have got from Sean today when talking about that is, oh yeah, Taysom told me that he's going to retire and not be a Bronco.
Taysom told me that he's signing with the Broncos and wants to be a Bronco or kind of what Sean Payton said there. And so the non-update tells me that Taysom still wants to play football. At least he's still thinking about playing football because I think Sean, if Taysom would have told him, no, I'm going to retire, I'm done playing football, then I think we would have either heard that from Taysom now or we heard that from Sean. I think the fact that he did not say that is an update on its own, that the door is still open for Taysom Hill to potentially return to the Broncos. And look, there's some talk going on within the media that I heard today of like, is the Broncos tight end room the weakest on the Broncos in terms of position groups? It's kind of a belief that that is the case. So if that's the case, then I think the door is always open to potentially add to that room and especially a guy that Sean Payton really likes. And look, Taysom Hill, there's no rush to sign him. He knows Sean Payton's offense like the back of his hand, and he wouldn't be a guy that's used 80 snaps from the start of the season till the end of the season. He'd clearly be a special role player on this team that Sean would have a vision for. So there's no rush for the Broncos to sign him. And I do still think that that door is open.
