Carton Show Big Mac, the great Damian Woody, joining us this afternoon.
Always wanted to work with Damian. Great, we have this opportunity. And by the way, if you're a media company, look at some football expertise this fall. Damian finds himself available right now for the first time in 15 years.

**Damian Woody** (0:19)
That would be correct.

**Craig Carton** (0:19)
So you can reach out to us offline, happy to do that, or find Damian on social media, and reach out to him because he would be a great addition to any media team looking for great football coverage this fall. So get him while you can.
Let's go to Danny in Centerport. On the fan, Danny, good afternoon. How are you?

**SPEAKER_3** (0:38)
Hey, Craig, how are you?

**Damian Woody** (0:39)
Doing great.

**SPEAKER_3** (0:40)
He would. He would. Absolute pleasure, man, to get to talk some shop with you, man.

**Damian Woody** (0:45)
Oh, man. Thank you.

**SPEAKER_3** (0:46)
I'm hoping you remember this, Craig. I called you about a month and a half ago and I told you, I'm invested into this station and calling for probably 30 years. You and I are the same age. I never ever made a phone call to this station or any other about anything other than my beloved Jets. But I called you that day to tell you how much you won me over and what a good guy I decided that you are after putting a bad spin on you for all the years. You have really won me over. So I hope you remember that phone call.

**Craig Carton** (1:15)
I do and I appreciate it very much. Thank you.

**SPEAKER_3** (1:17)
Awesome. Awesome. I got an awesome LT story, man. I really do.
So I'm like 25 years old. Mind you, mind you guys, right? I walked into Shea Stadium as a seven year old kid and I'm your age, Craig, right? We were born in 69 and it has been in my blood and in my system since that day. Whatever it was, that stadium, Shea Stadium, won me over and I have been a lunatic. Everything in my life is stable.

**Craig Carton** (1:41)
By the way, the first game I ever saw in person was Jets Redskins at Shea Stadium.

**SPEAKER_3** (1:45)
There you go. Man, it was me for it was Jets bills. But I mean, listen, everything in my life is stable. I'm a dad of two grown up girls. When it comes to the Jets, I'm still that seven-year-old kid, and they have broke my heart for all these years. But I am waiting for the day to rejoice. But anyway, let me get to my LT story real fast. So I take a ride to the Bahamas with a dear friend of mine. He's a stockbroker. He needs to go collect some money, wink, wink. So we go down, he collects his money. We play around the golf, we're drinking all day. We're on a private charter coming back from the Bahamas to Florida. We're sitting on a tarmac in 100 degree heat for about 40 minutes and we're not moving. I asked somebody finally, because I'm a drunken idiot, what the heck are we waiting for? We need to go. They said, we're waiting for somebody. Lo and behold, that somebody is Lawrence Taylor.
He comes on to the plane, guys, with two girls on his side.
He's in a pair of sweatpants and flip-flops.
Me, like an idiot, he comes walking on the plane and I start doing jet chant. He just looks at me like, okay, you stupid little white boy, relax. He literally says that to me. But guys, and D-Wood, listen, you guys have been in locker rooms. Holy cow, what was going on in that limousine before he got on the plane was pretty obvious. I'm talking about a tree trunk down his leg that he made the whole plane blush, including me. Now, I'm not a small guy, but wow, did I feel inadequate after that.

**Craig Carton** (3:18)
I was like, why do you think he was a smuggling wood from the Bahamas back to Florida though?

**SPEAKER_3** (3:27)
That's great, man.

**Craig Carton** (3:29)
Hey, real quick, let me ask you a question.

**SPEAKER_4** (3:30)
Let me ask you a question.

**Craig Carton** (3:31)
As a diehard jet fan, and you got Damian Woody here, who's the expert for sure. Do you think, have you heard anything from Aaron Glenn, even our interview with him a couple weeks ago, that makes you think, all right, maybe he's going to be better this year?

**SPEAKER_3** (3:47)
You know what, Craig, listen, last year was a disaster, no doubt, right? But like, listen, like anything else in life, this is how I see it. My first year in my business, I was a wreck. Craig, the first time you took a microphone, were you the bomb diggity? You might have been, because you're that type of guy, but I highly doubt it. D Wood, the first time you took a snap against a beast in the NFL, but you know, what were you like? I think the guy deserves what he needs to deserve. He needs to put his stamp on it, but to answer your question, no, I wasn't, I'm not thrilled, but man, am I rooting for him.
