Spike's Car Radio starts now.

**Jerry Seinfeld** (2:19)
Wow.

**Spike Feresten** (2:20)
You really picked out... I don't think I've ever heard this song.

**Jerry Seinfeld** (2:23)
Oh, yes you have. This is a classic.

**Spike Feresten** (2:25)
I have not heard this.

**Jerry Seinfeld** (2:27)
Do you like it?

**Spike Feresten** (2:28)
It's war saying war. What is it good for? Right? Isn't that war?

**Jerry Seinfeld** (2:33)
No, that was Edwin Starr saying that. This is a group called War, which is... This is a guy from... A British guy started it. What's his name? I can't think of it.

**Spike Feresten** (2:48)
And what made you pick this song?

**Jerry Seinfeld** (2:50)
The vibe, the chill vibe. This is podcast vibe.

**Spike Feresten** (2:56)
Soul, Latin, jazz, blue. The blues, reggae. Listen to it. I've not heard this before, I'm telling you. But at the sunny laid back vibe of Southern California.

**Jerry Seinfeld** (3:09)
Yeah.

**Spike Feresten** (3:10)
It's a good driving song. Yeah. We had some good driving today. That's the voice of our friend Jerry, of course, who's back visiting the show and picked the song.

**Jerry Seinfeld** (3:21)
It's great to be back for you war fans. Spike and I are doing the show today, but we're really trying to recover from losing the Emmy last night. Can you believe Unfrosted did not win the Emmy for best TV movie? We can't believe it. We're in shock. I don't know the name of the movie that won, but they definitely deserved it.

**Spike Feresten** (3:49)
They totally deserved it.

**Jerry Seinfeld** (3:50)
Totally terrific. But we're still upset. We'd like to hear in the comments how you also feel you guys should have won. Because you guys haven't had enough success. You should get more.

**Spike Feresten** (4:03)
Have you ever won an Emmy before? Have you won?

**Jerry Seinfeld** (4:05)
I've won one. I have one Emmy.

**Spike Feresten** (4:07)
One. That's hard for me to believe that you only have won.

**Jerry Seinfeld** (4:09)
Well, I have 68 nominations. One win.

**Spike Feresten** (4:12)
68?

**Jerry Seinfeld** (4:13)
Yeah.

**Spike Feresten** (4:13)
So you're one for 68

**Jerry Seinfeld** (4:14)
Yeah.

**Spike Feresten** (4:15)
See, here I was feeling bad that I'm for 10 and I'm just starting compared to that number.

**Jerry Seinfeld** (4:21)
They didn't like New York Stand Up Comics coming out to LA and taking over their TV business. There was a resentment. In fact, there's some names I can mention, well-known names that really resented the success of our show in the 90s. You know what? That only makes it sweeter.

**Spike Feresten** (4:40)
You think those people are still around voting?

**Jerry Seinfeld** (4:43)
No, no. I just mean that's why we never won all those years. We were not part of the LA machine of television entertainment. There were machines. They were production houses that were machines and they were accepted. They were part of it. We were always not part of it, which we took great pride in not being part of it.

**Spike Feresten** (5:03)
Did you ever host the Emmys?

**Jerry Seinfeld** (5:06)
I did an opening one time. It was the one year I was not nominated for Best Actor. And I said, I guess the Emmy people felt I just wasn't myself this year.

**Spike Feresten** (5:19)
You were nominated for Best Actor, huh?
