Hey, how are you doing? Welcome to Destiny. This is Cliff, your host of the program. Hey, I am working right now on the cosmology section of this book. And I have discovered, and it's been known by a certain type of archaeologist or a Mayanist, that the Maya were very fixated on various planets. And we know about the Dresden Codex because it has this Venix chart in it. But there's also the Madrid Codex, the Paris Codex, the Maya Codex of Mexico, and the Pu'u Pu'u Vu and the books of Chilam Baam all have something to say about the importance of cosmology in the Maya world. And, you know, when you bring them all together, it's curious because the study of the Venus document by itself, how the Maya were able to chart these various seasonal changes in the planet Venus are beyond comprehension. And what that means is that we're, the thinking is that the Maya were sky watchers. They would stand on pyramids, they'd stand on observatories, and they would observe the various planets, most notably Venus. But what's becoming very, very clear is that it's very hard to watch a planet just with the naked eye.
And you can see the movements, because the Earth's, you know, rotating around the sun and with the other planets. And you can see it come and go seasonally. But what I'm beginning to understand, and this is the comparative study that AI is helping with, artificial intelligence, is that, when you study current documentation and observing the planet with high-power telescopes, this is the only way you can make these calculations. And the Maya were brilliant mathematicians, and they did make some serious calculations. But it's looking more and more like they had a telescope. And I made this theory, I composed a theory about four years ago with an engineer named Jim O'Conn, who unfortunately passed away. But we both believe that the observatory at Chichen Itza, known as El Carcal, the snail, was used for these sightings. And it's very curious that we don't find any ground lenses in the same way that we see them in Europe during the Middle Ages and before.
In fact, there has been the discovery of one ground lens, I think it's around 6,000 years old. And I think it's attributed to the Sumerians.
And it's not part of a telescope that we know, but it's definitely an optical lens of some kind that was used for a variety of activities. We don't find telescopes in the form that we see today, but there could have been some form of optics. Well, the bottom line is that this Dresden codex with these Venus charts is a little too much for the naked eye to calculate, because you're theorizing the activities. And where I'm getting close with AI is doing a comparative study with other known calculations. And if we can match calculations from other sources, this would prove that the Maya had some way to observe the changes and movements of Venus, which is a brilliant society and moves the Maya out of the discussion as a Stone Age people. And some archaeologists still believe that they are Stone Age, which is just crazy. But it's fun to use AI in this form of research because literally you can ask with a prompt, find me data similar to the Venus calculations in the Dresden Codex matched or quantified data that is similar, and then you go from there. Now, this is something that hasn't been thought about before, but I do know from my discussions with archaeologists that there are universities that are beginning to incorporate AI with specific functions. And there's going to be a time when we can use satellite imagery and LIDAR attached to AI and ask it to look for certain features of a ruin, certain features of a temple, certain features of a pyramid, and AI will say, okay, let me look at the scans. And they're going to be able to pinpoint pyramidal structures with certain features. I mean, when I talked to Richard Hansen, and he's been on the show a lot, and he's excavating El Mune, or LIDAR revolutionized his ability to plan ahead. And when you use LIDAR, forget about just surveying a spot. Or in other words, before LIDAR, you would get satellite imagery, and it looks like, well, that looks like it could be a hill. That looks like it could be a complex. That looks like it could be a city. But you had to guess and get in there and drop some people down into the jungle and go, okay, let's cut, let's open up this area. Well, with LIDAR, LIDAR, remember, removes the foliage, removes the trees, branches and greenery, and uncovers stone buildings.
