I don't even know where people know you from now. I mean, certainly Curb and Stand Up and so many TV shows and so many specials and everything. I got a really interesting book out, Best Seat In The House, Moments No One Asked Me to Capture, but I did. It's an interesting picture book with descriptions, captions and stuff.

Yes, I have. And it's touching because you realize, oh, quite a few of these people are not here.

Where did you capture most? Was it mostly Curb you caught these or was it the Goldbergs?

Jeff Garlin (2:30)

Anything I worked on.

Anything I worked on. I could be doing a commercial. I could be, although that hasn't happened for a long time. It's been about 15 years of shooting everything that I've done on sets or at a comedy club, someone on stage.

Yeah, it did. And by the way, never thought of doing a book. Never thought of doing a show and selling photographs. None of it. I didn't think, I had no idea that anything I did was remotely good until I did a black and white workshop at the Leica Gallery here in town. And, like, you know this feeling. You and I can go up in front of 500 people. Does your heart rate change? Mine doesn't. No, no, no.

Adam Carolla (3:13)

Somebody asked me this the other day, and I just said there is no difference between backstage and front.

Jeff Garlin (3:17)

However, here I am in a workshop. We shot film, and on Sunday, they're showing what everybody took was pictures in Chinatown. And I am sweating. I am shaking. No one's ever seen my photography before. And I'm scared out of my mind. And behind me was the Paris, who's the head of the gallery over there. And I did it.

I got applause for every picture.

Adam Carolla (3:40)

The pictures are pretty amazing.

Jeff Garlin (3:42)

Well, I didn't know. Yeah, I get it. And then she said, I want to see more of your work. I'd like to do a show here with you. And it was like, from that moment on, it was like, ah, still never even thought of doing a book.

I'm shocked.

Adam Carolla (3:54)

I mean, it's a kind of book that I like because it's got a picture. I don't need no words, but I like to see the picture. And then I like the description. And some of them even don't even need a description. You just kind of see where you are and what the person's doing and how they're reacting.
