Yeah. Yeah, that's pretty good. That's pretty good. The problem was when I put the pads on and absorbed the hits, I was like, you know, this is just not the fun backyard football shows used to play.

It is a story that I've heard more than once, which is they put the pads on, they got hit and they said, fuck this. Yeah. And see, I played a ton of football, I put the pads on, I got hit, but I didn't know I had a choice as to whether I could quit or not. Cause I was like Richard Gere doing pushups in the rain, an officer and a gentleman when he screamed, I got nowhere else to go.
Yeah.

I mean, quitting is hard, you know, cause I was the first guy to quit on that high school team. And it was in August, we were doing two a days. And I'm like, I don't, no, I'm not doing this. And the coach, I went into his office, I said, I think I'm going to quit. And he said, son, football will make you a better person, a better student and a better man.
And I'm like, yeah, I'm going to quit anyway. And I gave him the thing and I left and you could see the whole team was watching me go back to the dorm to get my stuff. And my friend, who subsequently quit as well, but another Indian guy, he wanted to quit too, but he was like, oh man, because he heard everybody talking. They're going, oh, we're going to sort of grab him by his jockstrap. And I'm like, I'm not wearing what I'm wearing. And the plan was they were going to really just knock me out back at the dorm. So I called my mom to come pick me up. It was a boarding school. And I took all my bags and I hid in the woods and waited. And when she pulled up, I ran out of the woods and then got in. And that was it.
