Well, first of all, I appreciate y'all for having me. I know all y'all.
Y'all are legends for real. But with the Boots thing, my original nickname was Boops from when my mom gave me that nickname. We switched it to Boots because when we was in the gym with my dad, everybody was thinking my dad was saying Boots like this. He was telling me to come here or do this or do that. It do sound like Boots, so we just kept it and it stuck with me. But my mom still called me Boops.

Yeah, I'll be honest, you would be less intimidating if they said, come into the ring undefeated.

I was like, yeah.
I was like, he's going to have to really punch on me for me to respect it. Nah, man, but it's a pleasure to have you. I want to talk a little bit, though. Like, we make jokes about respecting you.
You're in a place right now, bro, where everybody they put in front of you, you annihilate. Yet they say, there's always an excuse after. Oh, that dude wasn't that good. Or when you're going to get the big fight and win. Why do you feel your accomplishments have been disrespected in the way that they have?

I just take it as a compliment at this point, because that shows the world, like, understand how great I am. And I just got to keep living up to that standard, which I'm going to keep doing. And I feel like they're not going to appreciate me until I retire. And like I always say, I feel like my style is different from everybody. I really do whatever I want. Every fight, I give you something different. My last fight, I gave you some dog fight. I couldn't have made it easier in boxing and move. The fight before that, I got a first-round knockout. The fight before that, I was boxing and moving and slipping and all. Like, I give you whatever you want.
And I feel like the world know that they will downplay anybody that I fight. I can go knock out the Hulk and they will be like, you were supposed to do that.
It's like crazy. It don't matter what I do, they just try to downplay anything I do. But at the end of the day, I just love it. And I love it. It drives me and make me get better each and every day. And I'm going to continue to keep growing. And like I said, they're not going to appreciate me until I retire.

And you said it. You said you could Floyd Mayweather and you could Tyson. Those are some big shoes to feel. But do you feel like that? Like you're just talking about like, I can go out here and just go blow for blow if you want to.
Or I can really do the art of boxing if I want to.

Facts. You just basically like said, you know, I feel like I can go in any fight and do whatever I want. I just I'm comfortable wherever I'm at. We could be in the inside. I can box. Like mid-range, wherever you want.
I'm good at it. I'm comfortable with it because I practice all those things. And I, you know, with me and my dad and my team, we just we work on everything all around.
