Let's be honest, most men drift. We wake up, we scroll, we work, and then we just rinse and repeat. And we know we're softer than we should be.
That's why I built the 31-day Resilience Reset. This is not a devotional, it is a field manual for men ready to stop drifting and start fighting back. So for 31 days, you'll train your spirit, mind, and body with scripture, prayer, and daily challenges that forge real resilience. Go to www.undaunted.life.com/31days to download this resource for free. That's undaunted.life slash 31 days. Start your reset today.
This is Undaunted Life, A Man's Podcast. I'm your host, Kyle Thompson. Let's get into it. Jared Pettitte, we made it, you're here.
Jared Pettitte (1:50)
Made it, man. Humped to be here.
Kyle Thompson (1:51)
Dude, you did the whole road trip thing to get here, but it's okay, because I paid you off right when you got here with hash browns and steak and eggs and whatever. So what did you think? Was it satisfactory?
Jared Pettitte (2:01)
Well worth it, yeah. The steak was actually really good.
Kyle Thompson (2:04)
I mean, so shout out to Neighborhood Jam in Oklahoma City. Like if you're a foodie person or whatever, like that's just where I take everyone to. It's because I'm selfish. It's because like I want to go there myself. But so yeah, because so you live down in Texas, but we've been talking for a while. Like I think when we originally, I always forget how I like originally met people, but I've been following like you and your brothers in the ranch for a while. You followed us at one point. And then I think I saw your announcement that your bride was pregnant. And I was like, dude, that's like the coolest thing in the world. Like congratulations. And then we just kind of like figured out, okay, we should probably just like sit down and have a chat. But like, do you even remember like how we got on your radar? Because like I followed the ranch for like 10 years.
Jared Pettitte (2:45)
Yeah, no, I don't remember. I think anytime that we see somebody, you know, pushing for the Lord, I think it just automatically like catches our eye, you know?
So I think that's, I think we, you know, I think, you know, I don't know how many followers you had at that point. What was that? How long ago have you been following us?
Kyle Thompson (3:05)
I mean, for you, you and your brother, you and your older brother, I followed each one of y'all for, I don't know, for a few years.
Like y'all's ranch, Los Sideros, that's one of the first things I followed on Instagram. Yeah. Because it like found me the algorithm did.
Jared Pettitte (3:21)
Yeah.
Kyle Thompson (3:22)
So it's, I don't know, but at least 10 years on the ranch. Yeah.
Jared Pettitte (3:24)
So I think that's, I think you followed us, and then I definitely saw that you had a good following, but that doesn't necessarily like, I won't just follow somebody just to follow them if I don't know them, but like, I think I went through your page and saw what you stood for. And so anytime I can connect with somebody like that, it's like, I just do it, which is one great thing about social media, that necessarily, I don't love social media, but there are good things.
Kyle Thompson (3:51)
Well, the cool thing about that is like, you'll find awesome people doing awesome stuff. Like we were talking about my good buddy, Mike Dragich, and some of the stuff that he does with gator hunting and different things like that. But also like, if you can train your algorithm, like I will tell my phone, I'm like, show me more videos of babies falling, or like kids falling over and tripping because it's funny. But like hunting videos, fighting videos, like things like that, you will learn so much from people like passively. So like the last six months, I've been recovering from this ruptured bicep, I haven't been able to do jujitsu, but I would still go to practice, and I would still watch like jujitsu tutorial videos on Instagram.
