I was. The Tigers were starting Tarik Skubal for possibly the last time. Oh, no.
I know. They're winning seven-nothing. I'm like, this is great. He can leave with a shutout if he does leave, but otherwise they win another game. They get one game closer to 500, and maybe, I don't know, maybe they win the next few and they keep him, but he gives up a run with two outs and a sixth. They take him out, and I'm thinking, oh, I just know what's going to happen. Finnegan's come in and let in both of Skubal's runs, Jerez's ERA, and then God knows what happens. He not only gives away Skubal's two runs, he gives up two of his own. He came in with two outs.
He only had to get one out, and he gave two runs of his own, two of Skubal's, it's seven to five, and then the Orioles tie it. They tie it in the next inning off Anderson. These untrustworthy weasels in our bullpen. I mean, don't be afraid to pick up somebody who can help. They've been leading the league.
