So Giants season just got some interesting news if you're just tuning in. Starting quarterback at the Foot of the Eagles, Jalen Hurts is out indefinitely with a blood clot in his calf. That's the only information we have now. He apparently got cleated in a game back on October 4th and then started having some injuries on October 8th, as the timeline goes. They did find during an ultrasound or an MRI, a small blood clot, that blood clot that moved, and now out of a preponderance, an abundance of caution.

Chris McMonigle (0:37)

A preponderance.

Craig Carton (0:37)

Yes, an abundance of caution now. After putting him on a plane to fly to London, and then putting him on a plane to fly back from London, without a care in the world about his blood clot, they've now decided we should probably get him medical attention and get rid of that clot.

Obviously, prayers go out to Jalen Hurts as he fights something that should be a pretty easy fix, you think, but still blood thinners get involved and tackling and internal bleeding and all that stuff.

Chris McMonigle (1:04)

What we know now is a team that was reeling already, coming off a disastrous loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Craig Carton (1:09)

A game they should have won, by the way.

Chris McMonigle (1:13)

A game they should have won.

Craig Carton (1:13)

I just had it, by the way.

Chris McMonigle (1:15)

Oh, I got you.

Craig Carton (1:16)

I'm being an ass about it. Sorry.

Chris McMonigle (1:18)

That's okay.

Craig Carton (1:21)

Go ahead.

Chris McMonigle (1:22)

Can I? I just figured I'd wait one more, we'll give it a beat, just to make sure we're good.

Craig Carton (1:26)

Give what a beat?

Chris McMonigle (1:27)

Just to give it a beat.

SPEAKER_4 (1:27)

Go ahead.

Chris McMonigle (1:28)

Make sure you don't want to say anything else.

Craig Carton (1:29)

Do what you gotta do.

SPEAKER_4 (1:29)

Okay.

Chris McMonigle (1:32)

A game they should have lost, right?

Now they're playing a Carolina team that offensively has been pretty good. Like, they've been a decent team.

Craig Carton (1:42)

Not just that, in the history of football, it's happened, I think, four times where a team off a European game was playing a team off a bye, the team off the bye is undefeated.

Chris McMonigle (1:52)

Yep.

Craig Carton (1:53)

Has never lost in that setting. And that's the exact setting for Eagles Panthers this weekend.

Chris McMonigle (1:58)

It opened up, I think, the Eagles minus one and a half. Then it jumped to Carolina. Now it's Carolina plus three and a half, whatever you want to care about that. But like, this is a tough stretch for Philadelphia. This is a team that is already kind of faltering, don't know what's going on with the coach. A lot of stuff going on.

This would be...

Craig Carton (2:16)

It's the Giants' division to win now. It feels that way right now. Or to lose, I suppose I should say.

Chris McMonigle (2:21)

It feels that way right now.

Craig Carton (2:22)

Franky's and King's Point on the fan. Frank, what's going on today, pal?

Frank (2:30)

Hey guys, guys, all we need, all we need, all we need now is Dak Prescott to have a stroke and not a lot. This is crazy, this is crazy.

Craig Carton (2:46)

And that's the Giants' fan I'm looking for today. Exactly right.

Chris McMonigle (2:50)

Which door did he choose?

Craig Carton (2:51)

He chose door number three. Oh, he did.

Gloat about it. Don't just enjoy the fact that their quarterback's out, gloat that he's out.

Chris McMonigle (3:00)

And wish for more.

Craig Carton (3:01)

I guarantee you that Eagle fans celebrated the fact that Jayden Daniels dislocated his elbow again. I guarantee you they celebrated the fact that Jackson Dark tore his knee up. So this is like a little payback to those animals.

That's all. It's a little payback.

Chris McMonigle (3:19)

All we need is Dak to have a stroke.

SPEAKER_4 (3:21)

Well, that's rude, I guess.

Chris McMonigle (3:22)

That's a bit much, no?

Craig Carton (3:23)

Isn't it enough that his former fiance said that he's ugly and accused him of cheating on her? Which is his job, as you know.

Chris McMonigle (3:33)

That's his job.

Craig Carton (3:34)

She and I are in a bit of a battle right now.

Chris McMonigle (3:35)

Oh, really?

Craig Carton (3:36)

Oh, yeah. She's very unhappy with me. For real, for real.

Chris McMonigle (3:38)

For real, for real.

Craig Carton (3:39)

She called. She DM'd me. Very upset with my...
