From Carolla One Studios in Glendale, California, this is The Adam Carolla Show.
Adam's guest today, Jack Osbourne. Plus the news with Rudy Pavich and now, Adam Carolla.
**Adam Carolla** (1:03)
You get it on. Thanks for tuning in. Thanks for telling a friend. Welcome back, Jack Osbourne.
Man, I'm looking at the number. I always have the age of the guest and it says 40 And I'm like, that's so crazy. But I don't know, you haven't gotten old enough yet to just sort of look around and see kids.
Like when I was old, you were a kid and now you're 40 And then you'll also conversely see like women you had a crush on from Falcon Crest or Dynasty or Dallas or something. And now they're 84 and weird. So I guess the answer is we're getting old.
**Jack Osbourne** (1:48)
Time comes for us all.
**Adam Carolla** (1:49)
Yes, yes.
**Jack Osbourne** (1:50)
I mean, I have a high school daughter now.
**Adam Carolla** (1:53)
Yes.
**Jack Osbourne** (1:54)
That's insane.
**Adam Carolla** (1:56)
It's all weird. I don't know, was everyone's mindset historically always like I'm not old? I mean, I feel like old people used to be old. I'll tell you how you can tell.
All right, if you watched Love Boat, there are women on that show, there's the young ingenues, the hotties that everyone liked, and then at some point, they had roles for like she's a school teacher, she's a housewife. The actress would be like 44 She had her hair short and a bun, she's wearing a shawl.
**Jack Osbourne** (2:33)
Have you ever looked at the age of the women from The Golden Girls when it aired?
**Adam Carolla** (2:38)
Yes, that's what I'm saying.
**Jack Osbourne** (2:39)
They were like 48
**Adam Carolla** (2:41)
Yes, I had a sad, I like to depress. I'm on a chain with Jimmy Kimmel and Bill Simmons and guys like that. And I looked this up, Andrew, I was gonna fuck these guys weekend up. I was gonna send them a thing that it said, I think we are older in no country for old men, which is one of the greatest movies ever.
**Jack Osbourne** (3:08)
The best.
**Adam Carolla** (3:09)
It is the best. I think we're older than Tommy Lee Jones' character.
**Jack Osbourne** (3:15)
No.
**Adam Carolla** (3:16)
From that movie. Well, you wanna freak out, like the Captain Love Boat was like 42, the actor when he took that role.
**Jack Osbourne** (3:25)
Okay.
**Adam Carolla** (3:26)
That was a long time ago for me. Like, anyway, let's not get my iron depression. How old was Tommy Lee Jones' character? Yes. Okay. Tommy Lee Jones was 61 during the filming of it.
**Jack Osbourne** (3:40)
Wow.
**Adam Carolla** (3:42)
He's 57 years old, the source of the novel, whatever. All right. I'm 62
**Jack Osbourne** (3:48)
You don't look 62
**Adam Carolla** (3:49)
Well, I'm older than Tommy Lee Jones was when he made that old movie about a guy getting old and losing it.
**Jack Osbourne** (3:59)
I think you're aging gracefully. Much better than Tommy Lee Jones did.
No country for old men.
**Adam Carolla** (4:05)
Thank you. So, Jack, who we are, of course know from the Osbournes, which is, I don't know, there's a lot of firsts, but first real reality, I mean, I don't know, groundbreaking, I don't know what to call that show.
**Jack Osbourne** (4:21)
I think it was the first, we'll call it, family-based reality show. Because there were realities, there was, I mean, real world, road rules, cops, I mean, they were all reality shows.
**Adam Carolla** (4:34)
Right. And I don't know if you look back and you go, that was good or I wish it never happened or was bad, or everything above.
**Jack Osbourne** (4:46)
I actually, there was a time where I really resented it, and now I look back on it with a huge amount of gratitude.
