Observe. The North American Dad. 50s. Great polo collection. He enters his vehicle information on Carvana. An offer appears in minutes. Remarkable. He squints, reads it again, smiles and says, dang, that's a good offer. The highest form of approval. No haggling, no hassle. No one called him boss.
He's still on the couch. Astonishing. Sell your car today on carvana.com. Pick up fees may apply.
Chris Hardwick (1:00)
Mike Furman.
And his amazing whistle. You have so many little musical instruments in your studio. It is one of my favorite things that any musical instrument could just appear in frame. Because in the last episode, it was the... The moose call. It was the moose call, right? And I think the slide whistle.
Jonah Ray (1:28)
And god damn it. And you're having me back. Most of the time, most people would be like, well, that's the last time we'll have him on. But you actually brought me back after that. God bless.
Chris Hardwick (1:39)
Hey, it's old slide whistle Furman.
Jonah Ray (1:41)
Think about this. I can't believe we didn't think about this at the time. A slide moose call. It's a moose call that has a...
Everything should have a slide on it.
Chris Hardwick (1:50)
And then the moose would just attack you for being hacky. They would just be like, I can't get on board this.
Jonah Ray (1:57)
Or whips out a hat and a cane and then you do old-timey entertainment.
Chris Hardwick (2:01)
Hey, it's moose in the morning on Kit, you know, whatever.
Jonah Ray (2:04)
Yeah, exactly.
Chris Hardwick (2:06)
You just need a moose sidekick. We're never going to let the moose call go. I mean, it is like...
I couldn't even tell you... I couldn't even guess one other person that I might know that would also have a moose call.
Jonah Ray (2:19)
Do you know any hunters?
Chris Hardwick (2:22)
No. I do not know any...
Jonah Ray (2:25)
That makes the odds of that very low.
Chris Hardwick (2:27)
I mean, I guess I just...
Jonah Ray (2:29)
I didn't buy this from a music store. This isn't a guitar center.
Chris Hardwick (2:32)
The infrequency of moose guitar center. You really got that at guitar center? No.
Jonah Ray (2:38)
That's my point. This is not something... Many of the things in here are from a pet store. They don't sell moose call at a pet store. Although, that would be...
If you can...
Chris Hardwick (2:52)
Hi, do you have any moose chow from a pet moose?
Jonah Ray (2:54)
No.
Chris Hardwick (2:55)
Why would you? Well, Petco, yeah, but that doesn't...
SPEAKER_1 (2:58)
Who parked their moose?
Chris Hardwick (3:01)
Yeah.
But I did... I'm excited and also self-conscious because I'm a bad self-promoter. But I am very excited that, if it's okay to mention, the Comedy Special is about to come out. Well, actually, by the time this goes up, it'll be out on Gorilla Plus, which is Gorilla Comedy's premium subscription app. But it's coming out as of October 5th. But then October 20th, it comes out on YouTube. So it'll be just wide, freely available and wide. And I am delighted and relieved and...
Jonah Ray (3:45)
How do you feel about... How is it? What do you think?
Chris Hardwick (3:48)
Like, how do I rate the special?
Jonah Ray (3:50)
Yeah, and not rate it on just like... But what you wanted to achieve and what you came away with, where...
Chris Hardwick (3:57)
Okay, so I love that question because where I think this does apply to people listening is just the pursuit of anything that you want to create. Creating anything and putting it out into the world.
Jonah Ray (4:06)
Yeah, nothing to do with other specials, other people with their own things.
Chris Hardwick (4:11)
Anything you put out, like an album, you know, whatever, a book that you self-publish, whatever it is, or a book that you've published, whatever it is.
Of course, I feel a lot of those things that people feel. It's like, oh, I'm nervous. I hope people like it. I don't know. I try, you know, like, I really did put in an effort. It's, you know, fun and meaningful to me. But also, like, the important thing for me is I set out what I wanted to do, so I feel very peaceful from that standpoint, you know? Like, I know that there are degrees where I'm sort of hard on myself about, like, watching it back at me. Like, oh, I've told that joke better. Like, oh, I changed a word in this one for some reason. I don't know why.
