Here we are, they finally get something positive. Michael Penix is back. What's it gonna look like?

Ryan Fitzpatrick (0:04)

Kevin Stefanski is the happiest man in that building right now. I mean, I think this offense literally takes off just by inserting him in. They have struggled a lot, but it's hard to even watch the last two games because this is not what they're gonna look like. The quarterback situation has been that bad.

Welcome back to Fitz & Whit, a Wondry Show presented by Miller Lite. I am Fitz and this man right here is Andrew Whitworth Beardos. We are overjoyed to be back with you today. What a week to Whit.

Andrew Whitworth (0:47)

It was a great week too. Listen, we had a lot of overreactions after week one. There always is, one of them that was Big Fitz, scoring. Everybody's freaking out. The most points ever in week one. It's a new league.

Week two humbled us a little bit. Week two, the defenses were back. I think Josh Metella said it best. He said, hey, this week the defenses put their foot down. That was really a story to week two. Defenses responded, scoring was back down. We're kinda getting back to some normalcy, but it was a fun week nonetheless.

Ryan Fitzpatrick (1:16)

And for those of you that are keeping track at home here, I beat Whit into the studio again this week, why? He says he got pulled over on the way to the studio. Is it true? Is it not? I'm gonna love to see the police report on that one, Whit, because I don't believe you.

Andrew Whitworth (1:30)

Listen, I'll pay the speeding ticket, okay? I was in a rush. I was trying to make up for lost time.

Ryan Fitzpatrick (1:35)

Yeah, okay.

Andrew Whitworth (1:35)

I was a little late getting out of the house.

Ryan Fitzpatrick (1:37)

Yeah. I brought my son Tate today. He might be joining us in a little bit. God, he's a handsome kid.

Tate.

Andrew Whitworth (1:43)

Thank God he looks like his mom.

Ryan Fitzpatrick (1:45)

Yeah. All right, coming up, we've got a new Fitz & Whit column.

Andrew Whitworth (1:49)

Look at this.

Ryan Fitzpatrick (1:50)

This is wonderful. We'll talk about this in a little bit.

What teams are getting through The Gauntlet? What does that mean? We're going to look at the next three games for some of these teams and check out what's going on. We have the fate of some of these O&2 teams, we'd love to take a look at, and what we're looking forward to for the weekend. Of course, a whole lot of football coming up, and maybe a little bit of shenanigans as well, Whit.

Andrew Whitworth (2:13)

All right. Before we get into the show, I want to show you one quick thing that we have right here.

I was reading the Fitz & Whit Weekly.

Ryan Fitzpatrick (2:19)

Yeah, it is the Weekly.

Andrew Whitworth (2:21)

I was reading this on the way in this morning, and so I thought we got to tell the Beardos what's launching.

Why don't you show everybody what we got here? A little Ask Fitz & Whit right here.

Ryan Fitzpatrick (2:32)

Ask Fitz & Whit. Okay, new column.

Same wise host you know and love. Not scoring enough touchdowns? Question mark. Ask Fitz & Whit. Need help with that grouchy baby of yours?

Ask Fitz & Whit. Uncooperative beard hairs making you the laughing stock of your local Beardos chapter? You know what to do. Ask Fitz & Whit. For all your burning questions, guys, leave us a comment on YouTube or any of our social media pages and we will make sure to get back to you.

Andrew Whitworth (3:04)

You know what, Fitz? Being back on the road with TNF, it means that you and I are going to get into some shenanigans, have a little fun, and we did plenty of that.

Ryan Fitzpatrick (3:11)

Oh, we did. Let's start with this. I know you saw my cross-border connection.

Andrew Whitworth (3:15)

It was actually, how many throws was it, actually?

Ryan Fitzpatrick (3:18)

So we only missed one. So the first throw that we did, it was like 20 yards away. And it was like visually, that's not going to look very cool. So I said, let's take it a little bit farther. I think I can max out at about 50 yards.

Well, the ship captain of Stevie's ship went about 75 yards away. So I said, look, I'm not going to be able to throw it that far.

Andrew Whitworth (3:37)

I'm not Jamarcus Russell.

Ryan Fitzpatrick (3:38)

I can't do it. Jamarcus could do it on a knee, just like Kyle Bowler. And they said, let's just try it anyway. Hit the side of the boat. So then they came closer. I think the throw ended up being about 40 ish yards maybe.
